| Q48: Prayers of David.. Understand the childlike foundations first:-
Consider prayer 38:-
This prayer of David is about his guilt and his sin-offering. What makes this prayer special and unique is the way David prays to YHWH-Adonay-Jesus to hasten and remove the sin-offerings and their associated guilt with them, so David can desire His Lord more freely.
Prayer 38:3 {There } is no soundness (mathom) "maturity" in my flesh because of thine anger(za`am) "rage"; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin (chataah) "sin-offering". (KJV)
The concept of having no maturity makes sense, because the flow that flows from the cross has not happened yet, because Jesus has not become our sin-offering yet. Notice the sin-offering process causes YHWH "rage" whatever that Hebrew word means.

Jeff Benner correctly translates the verb form as "enrage" and the noun form as "rage", hence both Hebrew words have similar meaning. But as a good student of Scripture should, let's check these Hebrew words ourselves.
There are only two Scriptures that offer some clues as to why YHWH has this "flow from the eye that ploughs" or "the eye of rage".
Eze 21:31 And I will pour out mine indignation (zaam) "eye of rage" upon thee, I will blow (puwach) against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.(KJV)
The "eye of rage" from YHWH, is to blow, a word very similar to "ruwach" the "wind of the Holy Spirit", allows dysfunctional technology from man to flood the land.
Eze 22:23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation (zaam) "eye of rage".
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; (KJV)
Here is another clue, the "eye of rage" from YHWH, causes a lack of rain, both physical and spiritual, because the pastors of the churches have conspiracy, they secretly plot to take the sheep of the folds into a different religion ruled by Satan.
Today, the so called climate change, the lack of rain, and the dysfunctional flow of medicine, so called drugs that help us, are signs our churches and their pastors are no longer are feeding us the pure words of Jesus and His salvation. We have conspiracy in our churches instead, on a world wide scale.
Our Father in heaven, thank you for Jesus,
thank you for the Eye of Rage that shows Your concern over the conspiracy of the world,
thank you for leaders who help us, for pastors who feed us correctly,
thank you for removing our sin-offering and our guilt, and giving us Your peace,
we support Jesus words. Amen Ps 38:15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. (KJV)
The Hebrew word "adonay" here is the "Active Lord", specifically Jesus, from the Divine Family Power.

So a better reading is:
Prayer 38:15 For in thee, O YHWH-Jesus, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Active-Lord from my Divine Family Power. (Ancient Hebrew)
What makes this reading better is the consistency. Every time YHWH is written in Scripture it refers to a masculine Family Member of Elohiym, either the YHWH-Jesus or the YHWH-Father.
Every time the word "adonay" is written in Scripture, it refers to "Jesus" the "active Lord" as a messenger for His Father.
Every time the word "elohiym" is written it means the Family power, and can refer to pagan family powers, or earthly judges as family powers, or humans as an authority of family powers, or the special Divine Family Power in heaven; the word "elohiym" has a consistent meaning for every context, as any word should have in any language.
Sure polysemous words do exist, but these are uncommon, and really exist due to the slang or decay of that language. However the world is fixated on multiple meanings and confusion, as we would expect. We live in a language of confusion, hence the scholars scoff at anyone suggesting languages are supposed to have words with a single basic meaning.

Ps 38:12 � They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine (hagah) "ponder" deceits all the day long.
The Hebrew word "hagah" Strong's 1897, is worth investigating.
Notice some contexts:
Ps 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Followers of Jesus ponder His teachings, their is a constant walking hand in hand with Jesus, in relationship, as the pictographs show us.
Ps 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
The mouth of the straight ponders the thoughts inspired by the Holy Spirit via our conscience as wisdom from Jesus, so our tongues speak words of judgement. There is therefore a daily decision process in the mind, from the walking of both the Holy Spirit as wisdom and Jesus as our judge, it seems we have many members of the Divine Family walking with us and helping us.
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Pr 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law(torah) "teachings" of thy mother:
Ga 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Only as we grow up beginning with walking with the Holy Spirit functioning as a simile of a mother teaching a child, we slowly grow up ready to listen to Jesus with His desire for "stronger meat" as the KJV writes this change.
Eventually our maturity is complete so we able to walk with the heavenly Father and not faint. What a glorious day, to walk with all the Family of GOD.
Pr 8:7 For my mouth shall speak truth;...(KJV)
Pr 8:7 For my palate shall ponder support;...(Ancient Hebrew)
Amazing to see the faith word here associated with the mouth, and with pondering. So even in our walking, we are constantly choosing Seed Promises to sow in our grainy hearts, as Jesus also is Our Grain, by which we sow His powers in our minds. This is how we support Jesus, and so Jesus teachings flow through us, because we support them, asking His power to flow through us daily.
It is not human power that walks in the teachings, but us supporting Jesus words, as we ponder those Seed Promises in our mind.
For example, after a Monday fasting and prayer session, feeling hungry my wife and I go to the restaurant for the evening meal, and instead of seeking a Seed Promise, such as "Lord Jesus, keep thy servant from all things dysfunctional", I eat whatever my lustful stomach desires using my own Baal Master Powers of Self.
This becomes a sin of missing Jesus, and even worse a sin of presumption if we think Jesus is OK with this despite us eating the wrong foods. One cannot have a flow of power from Jesus, if we also follow our powers of self. Such a lukewarm condition is dyfunctional to Jesus.
Re 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
So one wonders after all these months of training ourselves to prayer in Jesus, whether we are making any progress in Jesus at all? But we show this to readers to show you our walking in Jesus, has also missing along the way.
There is a sin (chataah) "sin-offering" unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
Ro 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin (chataah) "sin-offering" that dwelleth in me.
Our confessed sinning unto Jesus, is a daily sin-offering, and creates a relationship with Jesus, hand in His hand. And if we do, on ocassion missing, the hand of Jesus does not immediately let go of your hand, there is a sin-offering not unto death.

Ps 38:18 For I will declare mine iniquity (avon) "guilt"; I will be sorry for my sin (chataah) "sin-offering". (KJV)
We need to pray this Seed Promise more often, being open to Jesus about our guilt and being sorry for our sin-offerings, the sins we confess to Jesus, when we miss out on His power flowing through our lives.
The Author finds the greatest missing we do daily, is using our Baal Master powers of self. And it seems the way to overcome this process of using self, is to surrender more to Jesus in our conscience mind. This means asking Jesus in the presence of mockers,
what do I say to them now, rather than answering and speaking in our own powers of self.
Ec 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
The more often we speak, the more likely it is from our Baal master power of self.

The Author will confirm one day in further studies, using our Hebrew English translator, if "complete surrender" refers to "completely shutting our Baal master powers of self" and instead using Jesus power every moment of the day, in our mind, supporting His words continually, and thus walking in His powers flowing through us.
Such a "completely mature process" may be the rare criteria found among the 144,000, who walk in a special way on the earth as a witness during the "end of time", when Antichrist sweeps over the earth one final last time. Shalom

The final end to David's prayer is truly exciting, identifying His Saviour, not translated well in the KJV. Who else removes our guilt and sin-offering?

There are several Hebrew words for Yeshua:

The last Hebrew word is the functional descriptor David prays for His Adonay Jesus, to come with.
