Does the King James have inconsistencies
Q8: Does the King James have inconsistencies ?
King James was targeted for a spoken audience, hence the words were chosen
for poetry, colour and power. And the King James does an excellent job with
this. However the cultural meaning of some Hebrew has been lost, and with
this certain meanings of Hebrew have changed from their intended meaning.
Even the modern Jew would not understand Ancient Hebrew unless GOD
revealed it to him. The written word has to be read as a child in child like
understanding. There is easy stuff to read and obey and difficult stuff any child
leaves alone. Focus on salvation, not on scholarly grammatical correctness !
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures,
unto their own destruction.
So the King James translation of Hebrew has a few inconsistencies. Truth in
Jesus is progressive, and as one matures, one's truth matures. This does
not change the old landmarks of the Word. Mature truth deepens child like faith.
While God invites us to grow, we are maturing at different rates. Shalom
