Q20: Welcome to prayer training by Jesus.. Understand the childlike foundations first:-
Consider prayer 16:-
It is interesting to read other's who wrote about this Prayer such as Adam Clark, John Wesley and the Apostle Peter.
This prayer is written by David, but is entirely a Prayer about Jesus in Gethsemane:
Mt 26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Notice the prophetic nature of David's prayer. He prays about His Messiah using poetry pictures for the first time in Scripture. Jesus supports this prayer by praying similar pictures in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Some have called this a "Prayer of Gold" because the whole prayer concerns our Lord Jesus. Since this prayer is quoted many times by Peter in the latter rains of Jesus, it indeed proves Jesus had a former rain as well.
This prayer has teachings or rains of Jesus across the former rains (OT) and the latter rains (NT). Religions who say Jesus never pre-existed need to take note, and stop destroying the teaching of YHWH, both YHWH Father and YHWH Christ.
The term YHWH is not a Name, it is a verb that means "He who exists" and refers to members within the heavenly Elohiym. Such Hebrew titles were character actions, and thus given "verbs" that described a "person's character". See Name of Jesus
Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Notice the drink offerings of Jesus:-
Ps 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another (god) (messiah) : their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
The KJV adds the word (god), one could easily add (messiah) instead, for the Jews sought another messiah other than Yeshua Messiah. Notice Jesus is acting out the Prayer in the NT, established as a Prayer by David in the OT. The Jews continue to offer drink offerings of blood as did Ahaz (2 Kings 16:13-15) who did badly in the eyes of the Lord. Notice the drinking of this renewed hopping over feast by Jesus Messiah changes from animal blood to the blood of virgin pressed grapes.
Both of these forms of "blood" are simile peotry pictures of the life from the Messiah which was offered for sin-offering.
Mt 26:30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
One can sing to the 16th Prayer of David.
Ps 16:7 I will bless the LORD (YHWH) "Father-YHWH" , who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Mt 26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Jesus blesses the Father-YHWH who has given Jesus counsel, His Father instructs Jesus in the night season.
And Jesus Messiah said unto His followers, all shall be offended because of this night season, for the Father strikes the Agency of Life, and "death" is caused by the scattering of Elohiym.
Muslims say Jesus is not of Elohiym, for Elohiym cannot die, but where does Scripture define death as the cessation of biochemistry? Is not the first death called a sleep? And the second death termed "shaowl" an unknown place, where separation occurs?
The simile of striking the Agency of Living (Yeshus Messiah of Salvation) by the Father and the Holy Spirit, causes separation of the Son of Elohiym.
Ps 22:1 My God (my Strong Authority), my God (my Strong Authority) , why hast thou forsaken (azab) "leaving" me?
Jesus is the Divine Son in the Family of Elohiym, how many Strong Authorities are there in a Family ? Two. Why are they leaving their Son?
Ps 16:10 For thou wilt not leave (azab) "leave"
my soul in hell;...
Here is the Hebrew word that links the simile picture of Yeshua Messiah in Shaowl, the experience of separation, is the "second death".
Our Father, the Family Elohiym in heaven, thank you for Jesus, your Son of Elohiym,
who experienced separation so we do not have to. Thank you for relational community love,
a daily salvational process we do not understand, but may experience. May we bring forth your fruits of character in their season,
we support Jesus. Amen
Let's translate the 16th prayer of gold identifying Yeshua Messiah of our salvation.
Why does David pray to a Strong Authority of heaven, rather than Elohiym of heaven? How many Elohiym as a kind is there in heaven? One.
The NT makes the heavenly elohiym a simile of family. (Ephesians 3:15)
So how many Strong Authorities as a minimum is there in a family? Three.
Does the reader see the poetry picture of this prayer here?
This prayer begins by praying to a Strong Authority in the heavenly Elohiym.
Which Strong Authority?
Ps 16:2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; (KJV)
Can't see past the fuzzy English translation?
Ps 16:2 Saying the LORD (YWHW), (Adonay) "YHWH-Jesus": Your goodness is over me (Ancient Hebrew);

What does David the prophet pray next?
Ps 16:3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
The followers of Jesus delight in Yashua Messiah Salvation.
Ps 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another (god) (messiah): their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
The KJV adds the word (god), one should add (messiah) instead, since this prayer is about Yashua Messiah. Here the Jews seek a different messiah, and hence take up drinking offerings of blood to a strange Authority, that the Father does not empower.
Ps 16:5 The LORD (YHWH) "Father-YHWH" is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Notice just as David is a simile of Jesus, and the YHWH speaks to David, this is also a simile of the heavenly Father speaking to Jesus, supporting Jesus by the Father's right hand.
Notice the poetry parallels to Gethsemane as a night experience:-
Mt 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death:...(KJV)
Notice Gethesemane begins as the "sleep of death"...
Mt 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
How compassionate Jesus is to us seeing us in the sleep of death, when tribulation comes upon the earth. All the followers of Jesus sleep.
Mt 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
The Father and the Holy Spirit are still with Jesus in this hour of the night season, as Yashua Messiah is betrayed into the hand of sinners (chata), those who daily do missing.
Mt 27:43 He trusted in God (Elohiym) {theos} ; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God (elohiym) "family power". (KJV)
Notice the Greek writes "let elohiym save him", for only both the Father and the Holy Spirit can save their Son, and both the Father and the Holy Spirit leave their Son, creating the "shaowl" or "second death" experience.
Mt 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
The darkness indicates the "night season" in the 16th prayer in the OT. Both parents through their Son wrought living upon the earth:
Now when both parents leave their Son, the reverse of living occurs, which is the second death, where nothing exists. All things cease to be.
For more see SOP comments : "Nature recoils from the thought of dissolution, which is the consequence of sin. {3SP 161.2}",
about the term dissolution.
Pr 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
Wisdom, is a flow from the Father and or the Son, but is also carried by the personal agency of the Holy Spirit, as a simile of femaleness-love. Strange how followers of Jesus write off the "women" figure of poetry here concerning the functional role of the Holy Spirit.
Pr 1:8 The ten commandments are broad instructions of the Heavenly Father, and the torah teachings are light that comes via the Holy Spirit as a Mother. The Son mentioned here is Jesus, who comes to earth as witness to His Father and His Mother, becoming a simile representative of both.
For more see studies on wisdom.
Mt 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
When Jesus died what part of Jesus was offered for sin-offering? The humanity of flesh.
Mt 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Ron Wyatt, a follower of Jesus, found the exact spot where Jesus died, and found a crack led through the ground underneath where the ark of the testimony was, allowing Jesus actual blood to drip unto the mercy seat of the Father.
Notice the shape of the mercy seat with two guarding angels is in fact a simile of a seat, where the heavenly Father would sit on a throne in heaven.
Ps 16:10...neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
When Jesus died, if the second death is caused by the separation of Elohiym as a community power for living because of sin-offering, what causes the graves of those saved to be opened? Not the Father and the Holy Spirit. Who does ? The Son of Elohiym does, via the power of Elohiym within Himself. The humanity flesh Jesus leaves in the ground, but the divinity power of Jesus immediately raises some who followed Jesus for living, now receive their reward.
This proves Jesus is of Elohiym, for eternity, also defines the second death experience as dissolution, as the Hebrew English translator says, and confirms Jesus is the only Strong Authority through which sinners are saved.
The Son of Elohiym, experiences separation but His flesh does not see corruption, nor remain in the grave forever, after three days and nights, the heavenly parents comes over their Son again, and the Son is empowered with community loving as before.
Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (KJV)
Who has the keys of life, at His right Hand? Yashua Messiah Salvation does. This prayer ends with Jesus as the right hand of His Father, and David, a sinner, at the right hand of His Saviour, Yashua Messiah Salvation. The poetry pictures similes for both.
Now of course the reader can doubt if you want to. As scholars do and write off evidence from Scripture. For one cannot change the world view of a person. Evidence does not change your world view.
Mt 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.(KJV)
Many hundreds of followers say Yashua Messiah Salvation raised to living, but some doubted.
How many followers of Jesus know about how to support Jesus daily and live through His faith running through them?
How many of us know how to get faith?
The Scriptures do not tell us how a world view is changed...Either you see God or you don't. It seems even Elohiym cannot change your will. It's your decision to be saved or lost forever.
You can like the foolish virgins be wholly almost a Christian, but be wholly lost.
That was an exciting prayer of David, who prays words not found in the Scriptures before. He is a prophet. He was close to Elohiym. We need to pray like David did.
Next we consider prayer 17.
