Q4: Why does God create evil ?
Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these (things).
This text tells us that GOD engineers dyfunction (or controls evil).
See studies that the Hebrew word "bara" does not mean "create", it means "to fill" or "to engineer". See studies that the Hebrew word "ra" does not mean "evil", but instead contrasts to "good" as "bad" or "functional" as "dysfunctional".
The above text is a Hebrew parallel of poetry:-
Yahweh does all these
Notice the Bible is alluding to a contrast of spectral ranges from good to bad, from order to disorder, from wholeness to diseased.
Job 30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
Notice the Scripture is describing a range of contrasting power flows, function to dysfunction, good to bad, order to disorder, whole to disease, light to dark, and so on.
Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Notice the Bible is again telling us about a contrast of "power flow conditions".
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men maleness-loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Notice that mankind maleness-loved darkness rather than light. So if you choose to walk in a relationship that requires less of God's power to sustain your choice, thus while GOD is the author of sustaining His power for you, you are the author of where you want you flow of God's power in your life to be.
It's your choice of where in the spectrum of GOD's power flow do you want to be. Your choice is in His hands, and the Father's hands are as big as our Solar System is across. Where do you want to be in your life using the Father's flow of power in your life? Shalom
