THIRD STEP TO JESUS Q8: How does one develop meekness ? Meekness is the hardest of all the journeys in being a Christian with Jesus. To claim the ever increasing flow of power from Jesus through you, one has to develop the ever increasing attitude of meekness. See studies of meek . The word in Ancient Hebrew means "Behold the person continues across the people securely fixed" Meek is about people who are their brother or sister's keeper. Meek is about a person who looks out for people, staying firmly fixed on the power of Jesus, and not their own human power. This is really difficult for most of us to do, for in the presence of other people we stress. And in our stress our mind divides and we speak among people using human power , our own Baal religion of human effort that flows to nothing, rather than using Jesus' power. It's a really difficult thing to consider that other people are not a threat to you or own own self worth, and that Jesus' power flowing through you is all that matters. Meekness is having power from Jesus but not using it. Unless Jesus tells you to show his power to others. Humans associate meekness with weakness. But that is not the case. Meekness is often seen as lowly because God's power is not about pomp and showing off. Moses was the meekest human apart from Jesus who ever walked on earth. May we become meek through our beautiful powerful prayers in Jesus. Shalom
