| SECOND STEP TO JESUS Q8: What feelings develop from this step? Self powered people (who embrace Baal religion) who read the Bible without the Holy Spirit's help develop a warm sense of smug happiness. They are happy with their progress in their life. They are happy with their own good things. Mt 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
The second step of turning homeward to Jesus each day is a feeling of what you
have lost. It is an attitude of being mournful. This is not a sadness, but a
conviction to understand what is missing from your life and turn homeward to
Jesus to seek more of His good things flowing through you. The sinning sinner
feels the relationship of the sinner to the Saviour each daily mournfully. Such a
feeling causes the sinner to stop wilful sinning and to seek the power of Jesus
earnestly as a child under parental training.
This oxymoron of being mournful and hopeful, causes the sinner to experience
joy such that the world, under human power, cannot offer. Shalom
