| SECOND STEP TO JESUS Q7: How can Bible study NOT humiliate ? Self powered people (who embrace Baal religion) read the Bible without the Holy Spirit's help. Their Bible study does not humiliate, but makes them develop more pride. These people are stiff necked and flint like. Such religious people use Bible standards to control others. This attitude is the fruit of their pride to presumptuously assume power which is not theirs to control other people. Any humble people in their midst are afflicted instead by these self powered proud leaders. Since the Holy Spirit is not their teacher of the torah of Scripture, human beings become the authority of interpretation, so a talmud develops instead of the Bible alone. All religions empowered by humans, use human traditions and human words to empower the sheep who follow. Mt 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
The religion of Jesus is not empowered by human power. It is the divine
presence of GOD within you, the cooperation of Jesus and the Holy Spirit using
the Father's power that empowers the sheep who follow in a non-human walk
of eternal life. Not once can the human use human power. All the words of
Jesus come to the human through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Hear the still
small voice of Jesus speaking to you and follow obediently. Allow Jesus
to empower your life with His flow of good things through you. But such
a religion requires humility. Hence human effort is required to study the
words of Jesus in His Bible, to listen to His words in your conscience and
to see His words in His Creation. Shalom
