Why were the children of Israel lazy about not entering into God's blessings ?
( 2 ) Pr 6:6 � Go to the ant , thou sluggard "`atsel"; consider her ways , and be wise :

Ants are highly productive insects. In contrast to the "lazy"
Such people are not busy and productive.
( 3 ) Pr 6:9 How long wilt thou sleep , O sluggard "`atsel"? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep ?

The lazy sleep a lot it seems...Muscles on does not use overpowers them
with tiredness.We have lots of muscles designed to work, and if we
don't use them they make us tired. So the next time your feeling sleepy
and tired, your actually not tired at all...? Perhaps it's because you don't
do enough exercise.
( 4 ) Pr 10:26 � As vinegar to the teeth , and as smoke to the eyes , so is the sluggard "`atsel" to them that send him.
.. to the eyes so is the sloth ..
This seems to be the saying, the only way to get things done is to
do it yourself. The lazy person won't put his heart in it.
( 5 ) Pr 13:4 � The soul of the sluggard "`atsel" desireth , and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat .

The lazy person has desire for this and that, a planner, but not productivity...
In contrast the productive person is fat from his labours. The lazy
person has nothing to show his work.
( 6 ) Pr 15:19 � The way of the slothful "`atsel" man is as an hedge of thorns : but the way of the righteous is made plain . {is made...: Heb. is raised up as a causey}

The lazy person often makes it hard for those to do efficient work
because they are thorns in the harmonious machinery of productivity.
It is often quicker and more efficient to do it yourself.
This is often a problem to parents training children to do chores.
The reason we have chores as a child is to train us to work.
And to do productive work. Often the child bemoans the work
and becomes lazy and slothful.
( 7 ) Pr 19:24 � A slothful "`atsel" man hideth his hand in his bosom , and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again .
.. sloth .. You can recognize a slothful person
they are too tired to clean up messes after themselves...
Too lazy to make their beds each morning...
Too lazy to iron their clothes for work...
Too slothful to do the dishes after cooking...
Too lazy to clean up their mess from working...
They don't like weeding in the garden.
They can't stand to raise the hand to the mouth to eat.
They are the norm potato couch in the chair of slothfulness.
( 8 ) Pr 20:4 � The sluggard "`atsel" will not plow by reason of the cold ; therefore shall he beg in harvest , and have nothing. {cold: or, winter}

The lazy person does not prepare for troubles in seasons.
He does not put savings away for a rainy day.
The lazy person does not chop extra firewood.
Such person carry only enough for things.
They do not consider time for other side issues.
They rush about instead of planning ahead.
They wonder where the days hours have gone.
( 9 ) Pr 21:25 � The desire of the slothful "`atsel" killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour .

A classic case of slothfulness are those who have eaten themselves
to laziness, they are so large they cannot move, cannot walk and
cannot function normally. So they lie on their bed all day, and soil
it with urine and faeces, and are unable to do anything about it.
( 14 ) Pr 26:15 � The slothful "`atsel" hideth his hand in his bosom ; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth . {it grieveth...: or, he is weary}

( 1 ) Mt 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him , Thou wicked and slothful "`atsel" servant , thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not , and gather where I have not strawed :

Jesus calls the servant lazy. Why ? He has a talent from God,
but refused to use it. God gives us talents according to our ability.
Each of us have gifts and talents according to our needs and abilities
to use them. Jesus knows what we can and can't handle. Jesus asks
us only things we can do if you allow Jesus to do them. The man
with the one talent was given a gift from Jesus. Jesus expected
the man to allow Jesus to make Jesus' talent work, but the man was
afraid. He was afraid that Jesus woudl do things in his life. He was
fearing what might happen. He made excuses to be willing to let
Jesus do powers in the man's life. The man became lazy and stopped
being willing. The man feared he might change and become a renewed
man. Why would this change be so bad ? Did the man love his old
ways of sinning ? What was He afraid for ? That his life of sinning
would cease ? Jesus called Him a slothful and lazy person, who
was also a fornicator. A Fornicator is person of whoredom, who
sows Seeds of Satan and Seeds of Jesus, both at the same time.
The man was serving two masters. Jesus was unhappy about this.
The man really loved Satan more than Jesus, that's why He was
afraid. He was afraid to let go of Satan, and take hold of Jesus.
Sometimes we love our pet Devils because we are aquainted
with them. A saying: "Better to love the devil you know than a
strong authority you don't know"...so we cling to our pet devils
and continue sinning as before. Thus is what the man did. He
was lazy to allow Jesus change Him, and He was unwilling
to get rid of Satan.
( 2 ) Ro 12:11 Not slothful "`atsel" in business ; fervent in spirit ; serving the Lord ;

( 3 ) Php 3:1 � Finally , my brethren , rejoice in the Lord . To write the same things to you , to me indeed is not grievous "`atsel", but for you it is safe .
