Q3: Sinning is pleasurable isn't it ? You eat the first bite of a chocolate cake, it hits your taste buds with ecstasy ! The first 5 seconds is a fantastic hit of chemical neurons, tantalising smells, and hormonal urges of pleasure. Now do you get the same feelings with the second bite ? No. Why not ? Because the brain is already overloaded with pleasure, the taste buds saturated with stimuli, and very quickly the system of senses is overwhelmed with too much stimulant. After a while we find the eating boring, but we still keep on eating. Why ? Because a drug like stupor takes over and our stomachs rules us, rather than our minds. As a challenge of human impossibility, and ridiculous will power, limit yourself to one square of chocolate per night, for 30 nights. Could we humanly achieve this ? I doubt it. Why ? Because the drug in chocolate does not allow for such temperance and self control. Of course sinning is pleasurable, from a human viewpoint, but so is living with Jesus flowing through us too, if we choose to give it a chance. Are you willing to give Jesus a try ? To make sinning hated, claim the Bible promise of Gen 3:15 "I will put hatred between Satan and you". Shalom Dear Jesus, yes sinning is pleasurable and fun. But I have decided to ask for the hatred of my sinning as you have promised. I look forward to a new kind of pleasure and paradise. Thank you. In Jesus Name Amen. Reason theme
