| Q37: 44. The True Sign Show the Desire of Ages is inspired.. (1) Religious people who are dead.. No mere externalevidence could benefit them. What they needed was not intellectual enlightenment, but spiritualrenovation. "O ye hypocrites," said Jesus, "ye can discern the face of the sky,"--by studying the sky they couldforetell the weather,--"but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" Is it really possible for there to be a so called "christian" who is dead ? And be cold towards relationship in Jesus? Yes...they read their Bible and pray, but are dead in relationship. Ro 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted (Greek hupotasso 5293) ( Hebrew kabash 3533) "subdued or surrendered" themselves unto the righteousness of God. How kind Paul writes the condition of these religious brothers, being ignorant towards GOD... following their own Baal-master powers of self, doing holy things as they please, they did not allow GOD to subdue their Baal-master power in their soul. Many religious people make a terrible mistake, saying surrender is some higher level of righteousness we humans have to do in order to be saved by Jesus. The real fact, mentioned only once here in the NT writings, is to be subdued by GOD is something GOD does to us, not something we do for GOD... we cannot allow GOD to walk over us and subdue our Baal-master power of self, on our own, for the inherited Baal-master power will never choose on it's own to give itself up... No We must give our will to GOD, and allow GOD to subdue our Baal-master power of self, to walk over it and control it, and thus we become under a new ruler over our soul... relationship... not self...not being alone... So when is this subdue process actually done by GOD in us ? When you will yourself to HIM.... at the beginning of seeking GOD ... when you have become at the end of your rope, you sow tears of hope in your Saviour... When your under so much stress because of your sinning regress, You feel yourself about to pop so your will decides to hop over to Jesus your Saviour. Mic 7:18 Who is a (el) Strong Authority like "GOD", that (nasa) "lifts away" (avon) "our guilt", and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? "GOD" retaineth not his anger for ever, because "GOD" delighteth in mercy. In this wonderful prayer promise, GOD repents towards us, as we repent towards GOD, and GOD subdues our guilt as we confess our missing relationship with HIM, and GOD casts our sin-offering (all our wrongs confessed and acknowledged placed upon Jesus) are thrown into the depths of the sea...the world's deepest place on earth to be forgotten by GOD and yourself forever... What a wonderful verse, and notice it has this Hebrew word "subdue" or "surrender" in it... Notice another process of subdue, spoken by the messenger Jesus to those in the OT who were saved by HIM:- Ex 23:20 � Behold, I send an Angel (malak) "m essenger" "Jesus" before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which Where does it say "our heavenly Father's Name is in Him "? Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Where does it say "Jesus is functioning like an Angel", if we assume this poor translation is correct? Nu 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent (saraph), and set it upon a pole: Not a single translation of this Hebrew word by over a dozen translations translates "saraph"....they assume "firey serpent" because Moses later makes a "firey serpent"...Why?Because both Jesus and Satan, whom the symbol is a figure for, function as angelic powers of burning. We also assume wrongly Hebrew describe things...No...Hebrew is about verbs or actions or function. Jesus and Satan function as "saraph" or "burning"...Satan is a "cherub", but Jesus is a "heavenly elohiym", but they both once functioned as "Saraph" or "burning". The Hebrew has a verb and a noun form of "saraph" which means "burning". Isa 6:6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: Fantaskic stuff when you study Hebrew words in the Holy Writings isn't it? Our translators do not make things easy to follow. A "heavenly burning" would not remove a "burning coal", touch a human in vision, forgive his guilt and remove his sin-offering and proclaim to be Adonay in voice... But Jesus could...Jesus functioned as His Father's messenger, functioning as an "saraph" or with "burning powers"...speaks to humans in vision, and removes their guilt.. takes away their sin-offering...what a Saviour we serve in the OT and the NT...the same Saviour came to save people from the OT and NT... So when and how does Jesus remove our Baal-master power of our soul? Ex 23:29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. What are these "Weeds" or "Enemies" that Jesus drives out of our soul land gradually? Our propensities that are growing in us empowering our Baal-master powers...they are like weeds, propensities to sinning we have allowed to grow in us as weeds or habits of wrong doing... For more Propensities. (2) Seeking a sign.. "And He sighed deeply in His spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign?" "Thereshall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas." As Jonah was three days and threenights in the belly of the whale, Christ was to be the same time "in the heart of the earth." The Spirit of Prophecy says "Every miracle that Christ performed was a sign of His divinity. He was doing the very work that hadbeen foretold of the Messiah; but to the Pharisees these works of mercy were a positive offense." The Author finds this statement strange...if Jesus always used His Father's power flowing through Jesus for others to see Jesus' wonders or miracles, why is this a sign of Jesus' divinity? Like the Holy Writings, we will never understand all there is in the SOP writings either... for GOD speaks and writes in mysterious ways... Shalom The SOP says further that "A consistent life in Christ is agreat miracle. " Jesus never missed in relationship with His Father or the Holy Spirit. Such a life of faith was consistent and always full of grace and relational love. (3) The deceptive work of leaven.. The scribesand Pharisees were insinuating deceptive principles. They concealed the real tendency of theirdoctrines, and improved every occasion to instill them artfully into the minds of their hearers. Thesefalse principles, when once accepted, worked like leaven in the meal, permeating and transforming thecharacter. It was this deceptive teaching that made it so hard for the people to receive the words ofChrist. The same influences are working today through those who try to explain the law of God in such a wayas to make it conform to their practices. This class do not attack the law openly, but put forward Page 409 speculative theories that undermine its principles. They explain it so as to destroy its force. What deceptive teachings exist in the SDA assembly today? The Author says this because of love for my churchsince the SDA church has the last three angels message of Jesus gospel to the world before the second coming, we have unfortunately left our first love,become lukewarm and even allowed leaven to destroy our relationship with Jesus. Some of these speculative theories are :- The leaven acts on a church like rust or cancer, it slowly eats away our love and thus spoils our character standing before GOD. Slowy as a church assembly we lose our powers of Jesus, and fall asleep. These are some of the leaven effects we all experience.
