Christian trees, love feasts of Jesus,

Q23: 30. . . "He Ordained Twelve"

Show the Desire of Ages is inspired..

(1) Dwell sometimes in the Trees

It was under the trees of Eden that the first dwellers on earth had chosen their sanctuary. There Christhad communed with the father of mankind. When banished from Paradise, our first parents stillworshiped in the fields and groves, and there Christ met them with the gospel of His grace. It wasChrist who spoke with Abraham under the

oaks at Mamre; with Isaac as he went out to pray in the fields at the eventide; with Jacob on the hillsideat Bethel; with Moses among the mountains of Midian; and with the boy David as he watched hisflocks. It was at Christ's direction that for fifteen centuries the Hebrew people had left their homes for one week every year, and had dwelt in booths formed from the green branches "of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook." Lev. 23:40.

Why does the SOP say Jesus told those dwelling the former rain of Jesus, to dwell one week under trees every year? What was this special love feast for? To remember Jesus the Lord of Trees?

Why do we say today all the feasts we find incovenient are abolished by the Cross of Jesus in His latter rain teachings in the NT?

Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD (Jesus-YHWH) , I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.(KJV)

  • Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.(KJV)

The Author sees many theories of faith do not understand Jesus teachings very well.

Le 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts (mowed) of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts (mowed).

The Hebrew word "mowed" means "appointed times" not feasts, though at special times we come together for fellowship, eating food might also be done.

Le 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

The first appointed times for Jesus, is the weekly Sabbath.

Le 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons (mowed).

The other appointed times are based as "special Ceasing Day times on times based on the moon cycles" in Leviticus 23 in more detail:-

The next appointed times is when we have faith to hope in "hopping day".

Le 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover (pecach) "hopping Day".

This special love feast of Jesus, marks out "hopping day"... Notice the use of the Hebrew verb to "hop":-

Ex 12:13 ..and when I (Jesus-YHWH) see the blood, I will pass (pacach) "hop" over you,

The hopping day is a special time when Jesus' blood is applied to the "doors of our soul", and it causes Jesus to "hop over" us, so we will not die.

1Ki 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt (pacach) "hop" ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.

People "hop" between Jesus as "Master" and Self as "Master" all the time...this hopping process is termed in Hebrew as "baal"...It was so big in the OT time that the Israelites made idol statutes of "baal". Today the idea of ourselves being our own "master" of our lives is no different.

The Hebrew word "hebrew" means to cross over...I suspect "hop over" might be the actual meaning as well...when we hop over from self as "master" to Jesus as "master"...of our soul energy.

For more see a study of master.

For more see a study of Jesus is YHWH.

Hope for hop day was so special to the early Christians of Acts, that they did this special`love-feast of Jesus every weekly Sabbath...not just occasionally as modern theories of faith do.

The next appointed time is when we spend time practicing Jesus' words of power in our lives..

Le 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

"bread is a figure of Jesus Word power" and "unleaven" a "figure of missing"

So this love feast of Jesus is about spending a week of time using the word powers of Jesus without sinning...in other words practicing a food fast to help us practice a prayer power time with Jesus for a week.

Considering how overweight many of us are, and how much food we eat...we all badly need to practice the week of fasting to improve our body health, and improve our power health for our will, and improve our prayer to choose Jesus in our lives daily... Try a week of eating very little as a fast, and see how this impacts your body physically, spiritually and mentally.

There are many more details of Lev 23, but it is difficult to know all the figures of each feast right now. Let's continue with the passages in Desire of Ages...

For more, see the SOP on love-feast .

    (2) Out of the cities message..

In training His disciples, Jesus chose to withdraw from the confusion of the city to the quiet of thefields and hills, as more in harmony with the lessons of self-abnegation He desired to teach them. Andduring His ministry He loved to gather the people about Him under the blue heavens, on some grassyhillside, or on the beach beside the lake. Here, surrounded by the works of His own creation,

Notice the SOP says Jesus took the disciples out from the "babylon of the city"...

Re 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon) , my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The concept of coming out of "babel" is just a Hebrew word meaning those things which "confuse" so we are not deceived. Living in the cities is confusing. It's a rat race. Humanism driven by little artifical watches on our wrists, rather than the cycles of the earth, sun and moon of the Godhead of Time.

How many of us adhere to the call of Jesus, to be His disciples and come out the cities and spend time with Him in the trees and quiet places of the mountains?

The Spirit of Prophecy says on Desire of Ages that Jesus took his sheep out of the confusion of the city to His quiet places of His Creation...

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of confusion in the cities, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

This is NOT just spiritually avoiding confusion in the city, but physically avoiding the city as well, lest the physcial things of the city confuse your spiritual living with Jesus.

Some diseases or plagues in cities are :-

  • floride drinking water poisoning
  • chlorine water poisoning
  • aluminium water poisoning
  • carbon mono-oxide car fumes
  • xylene cancer exhaust fume poisoning
  • WiFi network radiation destruction
  • materialism consumption

Some sin-offerings of the cities are :-

  • cheap grace for sins
  • social church clubs for the "saved"
  • do nothin g at church on Ceasing Day
  • humanism doctrines
  • naturalism doctrines
  • traditions not truth

  • (3) Object lessons in Nature..

In the growth and development ofnature were revealed the principles of His kingdom. As men should lift up their eyes to the hills ofGod, and behold the wonderful works of His hands, they could learn precious lessons of divine truth.Christ's teaching would be repeated to them in the things of nature. So it is with all who go into thefields with Christ in their hearts. They will feel themselves surrounded with a holy influence. Thethings of nature take up the parables of our Lord, and repeat His counsels.

Ps 1:2 But his delight is in the law (torah) "teachings" of the LORD (Jesus-YHWH); and in his law (torah) "teachings" doth he meditate day and night.

  • 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The saved grow as "trees" grow, and drink as "trees" drink and seek Jesus in relationship, as the "trees" have life through the power of GOD.There is much one can learn of being a Christian by learning how "trees" grow.

    (4) Jesus uses us as His representative..

As in the Old Testament the twelve patriarchs stand as representativesof Israel, so the twelve apostles were to stand as representatives of the gospel church

If we are saved by relationship, the Divine is roped together with the Human, as a coupling of unity, then we the human are the relationship representatives of the Divine on earth. Are we making this witness for others, as light? or as salt, to preserve others?

Or are we making the Divine a bad concept to others?

Re 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

  • 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord (Jesus-YHWH) God (Elohiym) Almighty (shadday), which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

Notice in heaven around the throne are 24 elders, maybe 12 from the former rain of Jesus in the OT and 12 from the latter rain of Jesus in the NT. Notice they worship Jesus-YHWH, and the Father, chief of Elohiym power and the Shadday, the personal Name for the Holy Spirit.

The priests are also special representatives of Jesus our high priest.

Re 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

So we, the saved of Jesus, are His special representative of relationship.

    (5) Humanism chooses an apostle..

The disciples were anxious that Judas should become one of their number. He was of commandingappearance, a man of keen discernment and executive ability, and they commended him to Jesus as onewho would greatly assist Him in His work. They were surprised that Jesus received him so coolly

It seems the "master" inside the disciples rose in pride and allowed Judas to come into their midst..and Jesus went along with humanism's decision. This example shows that the master in the disciples lives was "self", what Hebrew terms "baal"... they did not allow Jesus to choose disciples for Himself, who sees the inside not the outside qualities of man.

    (6) Transformed by Jesus..

God takes men as they are, with the human elements in their character, and trains them for His service,if they will be disciplined and learn of Him. They are not chosen because they are perfect, butnotwithstanding their imperfections, that through the knowledge and practice of the truth, through thegrace of Christ, they may become transformed into His image.

If you spend time in relationship with someone, after some time, you will acquire some characteristics of that person in relationship with you... you will become like their image.Notice the first transformation process into the image of GOD:

Ge 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them

Why is Elohiym saying this ?

Ge 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:..

How can three members of Elohiym be one? or united as one?

How can mankind be "man, wife and child" and yet be one? or united as one?

First Hebrew is about function, not objects...hence mankind has one function, and from this function come three other functions ... In other words mankind is created as a functional generator for other important personalities of functions... the "wife" or "help mate" was inside of the "man" and the "child" was too, between functions from the other two.

And since we are created in the image of GOD, we can expect GOD to be a simile of mankind, but remember we also see things darkly...

For more see the two words of love.

    (7) Transformed by our master..

Instead of walking in the light, Judas chose to retain his defects. Evil desires, revengeful passions, darkand sullen thoughts, were cherished, until Satan had full control of the man. Judas became arepresentative of the enemy of Christ.

The Hebrew word "baal" meaning "master" tells us that there are two masters wanting to rule over our soul, Jesus or Satan. The third master ruling over our soul is ourselves, "self". We do what we seem right in our own eyes. This religion is common. Evolutionists hop between God's world of order and hop between Satan's world of disorder, and thus choose what parts the human wants to master them... Thus evolution is a mixing of GOD's worlds and Satan's world... where humans are masters of their own lives.

The Scriptures spells it this way:-

Ro 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Paul is careful not to offend his own people, by saying things not directly:-

Ro 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted (hupotasso) "subdued" "surrendered" themselves unto the righteousness of God.

The word subdue in Hebrew means to allow GOD to walk over us in relationship, but often written in context of the human, we have to allow this, so the SOP speaks of "surrender"...Paul says many Jews were ignorant...

Re 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

It seems being your "master" of your soul seems OK to GOD in this verse? Instead GOD condemns the sinning one does from being a "master" of your soul AND allowing Satan to master your life with sinning that is contrary to God's directions.

Re 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will s pue thee out of my mouth.

  • 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;

Here is the sinning of "self" when we allow ourselves to "master" our own lives... This idea also is found in the OT, in the Book of Jesus:-

Ho 12:8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.

  • Ho 13:1 When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
  • 2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

People who are "master" of their own lives, use Jesus as a sacrifice of cheap grace and kiss the saints in idol worship as well.

    (8) dwell in the family of God..

The apostles differed widely in habits and disposition. There were the publican, Levi-Matthew, and thefiery zealot Simon, the uncompromising hater of the authority of Rome; the generous, impulsive Peter, and the mean-spirited Judas; Thomas, truehearted, yet timid and fearful, Philip, slow of heart, andinclined to doubt, and the ambitious, outspoken sons of Zebedee, with their brethren. These werebrought together, with their different faults, all with inherited and cultivated tendencies to evil; but inand through Christ they were to dwell in the family of God, learning to become one in faith, indoctrine, in spirit.

Where does it say in the Holy Writings, that God is a Family Elohiym?

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
  • 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

This is the only verse in the entire Bible, written by Paul, that says Elohiym is a family, or a simile of a family as mankind is, who is a simile of Elohiym.

Ps 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels (elohiym) "God",

Strangely enough the Greek translation of Paul's Hebrew scroll is wrong:

    Heb 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels (agellos) (not theos)???;

Why was the Hebrew word "elohiym" changed to Greek word "aggelos" rather than "theos"?

The fact is that Paul describes Father Son and Holy Spirit as a "family" is very significant...and the SOP does as well.

    (9) Divinity needs Co-operation..

As His representatives among men, Christ does not choose angels who have never fallen, but humanbeings, men of like passions with those they seek to save. Christ took upon Himself humanity, that Hemight reach humanity. Divinity needed humanity; for it required both the divine and the human tobring salvation to the world. Divinity needed humanity, that humanity might afford a channel ofcommunication between God and man. So with the servants and messengers of Christ. Man needs apower outside of and beyond himself, to restore him to the likeness of God, and enable him to do thework of God; but this

    Page 297

does not make the human agency unessential. Humanity lays hold upon divine power, Christ dwells inthe heart by faith; and through co-operation with the divine, the power of man becomes efficient forgood.

How well the SOP writes that divinity needs humanity. Through co-operation Jesus and the saved, become children of GOD. There is a Hebrew word for relationship, that means to "bind" as a "couple" becomes a "coupling" like strands of a rope entwined together. How Hebrew makes a relationship concept into a simile of a piece of rope.

Ec 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow (chaber): but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

  • 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
  • 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Two couples bound as a coupling each help reward the other, is made into a literal spiritual object lesson, that three cords of a rope are not easily broken.

Eze 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions(chaber):

  • Eze 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord (adonay) "Lord Jesus" GOD;...
  • Eze 37:22 And I (Lord Jesus) will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel;...

Here is the same concept again being applied to Adonay Jesus, who wants to bind his believers into a united rope, a community of cords, so the relationship is a witness to nations forever that love binds couples into a coupling for GOD.
