| Q8: How is our pride weathered away ? ��� In the Bible, pride is a symbol for rock. Rock is broken down by weathering. Weathering is the action of wind, fire, water and air on rock. These things are called agencies. Agencies help the strong authority do its work of weathering. Man has an agency work to do, to help or allow the work of the Holy Spirit do its work of turning living rock into living soil. Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Man must study the Words of Jesus, to experience weathering in our pride. There are several ways to study the Words of Jesus, through His work of creating the world via Mother Nature, or through the written work of inspired men via the Holy Spirit. Bible study is man's agency for making proud humans into humble humans. Shalom
