Q10: Discussion of Memrah (16) Ps 119:76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort (nacham) "comfort", according to thy word (memrah) "words-personified" unto thy servant (KJV)
Most of the scriptures use the "word-personified" in the 119 prayer of David. Here we see comfort, a condition of turning to Jesus, often used as "Repentance", we turn to Jesus, find comfort, support His words-personified, and thus experience His beauty of His power flowing through us.
(17) A section of David's prayer:
Ps 119:81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation (tashuwah) "Jesus of the Cross": but I hope in thy word.
82 Mine eyes fail for thy word "words-personifed", saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law (torah) "teachings".
86 All thy commandments are faithful (amenuah) "supportive": they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
Can the reader read what David is praying about? First He calls on Jesus Name from the Cross.
For David, the Cross of Jesus has not happened yet, hence this functional descriptor of Yashua. Than David prays for Jesus to comfort him, the turning of David back to Jesus, the idea of daily repentance.
David sees himself as a bottle in the smoke, lost in a sea of mockers who mock His walking in Jesus.
Such mockers do not walk in Jesus teachings, nor support His words-personified.
But David does. He prays that the words-personified do not fail him. He prays to Jesus as His helper.
David prays that all the commandments are supportive.
Notice the full list of Hebrew words here, concerning the salvation of Jesus:
Thus David is praying for salvation, using all the correct aspects of Salvation, we have to. They are all listed here in David's prayer. That is wonderful joyous news! Shalom
(18) Ps 119:103 How sweet are thy words (memrah) "words-personified" unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Here the passage of this prayer is grouped as a "MEM" or flow pictograph. Davids prays for the flow of love, the flow of his meditation, the flow of wisdom, the flow of His witness, the flow of thy precepts, the flow of judgements, and the flow from the words-personified flow as honey in our mouth.
(19) Ps 119:116 Uphold me according unto thy word (memrah) "word-personified", that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Notice the flow of power is a hope in Jesus, as we support His words-personified. We do this continually. (next verse)
(20) Ps 119:123 Mine eyes fail (kalah) "complete" for thy salvation (yashua) "Jesus" , and for the word (memrah) "word-personified" of thy righteousness (tsedeq) "straightness".
The KJV meaning of "kalah" is strange, where as Jeff Benner sees "kalah" as "complete". Notice David prays for the complete Jesus, for His word-personfied that offer straightness.
Notice the Hebrew word "yashua" is Jesus named here, the KJV translates as "salvation" is actually a Divine Being. How mockers would love to remove Yashua from the Old Testament Scriptures.
Ps 119:125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
The next verse backs up the previous verse. "that I may be "intimate" with Your Witness"", not as KJV says "that I may know thy testimonies".
Can a YHWH all alone witness to Himself? No
But another active YHWH can witness to the secure YHWH, and be that witness, if we assume there are two YHWH in Scripture.
Actually the Ancient Hebrew pictographs tell you there are two Beings in the "sacred Name".
The Sacred NAME
Hebrew people would not write or pronounce the sacred NAME for GOD.
It is often spelt as Yahwah. The word means in the Ancient Hebrew script ...
"Behold ! I AM secure. Behold ! I AM active." What is interesting in the Sacred
NAME is the presence of two persons who exist .
Thus the Son is a witness for His Father. Does the reader get the idea David is praying about?
