(61) Lu 8:6 And some fell upon a rock (cela`) ; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
And some fell upon a rock (cela`)
The Isaiah account of Shebna shows us that human pride is a symbol of Cela too. We are to fall unto the Cela rock and be ground into soil by it, or we become a Cela rock ourselves, thus picturing self which allows us to think we can save ourselves in our own human strength.
(62) Lu 8:13 They on the rock (cela`) are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
They on the rock (cela`) are they,
Hearing the words of Jesus is not enough...to be saved the Seeds of Jesus have to find humble soil and germinate in it, a ongoing flow of living in your soul..
(63) Ro 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock (cela`) of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
.. Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone "eben" and rock (tsuwr) of offence:
Isa 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone "eben" of stumbling and for a rock "tsuwr" of offence to both the houses of Israel,
The "Eben" Stones are called in the New Testament lively stones built into the Church, along with the chief "Eben" stone than become the corner stone. These are placed on top of the bedrock "tsuwr" the picture of the Father rock.
(64) 1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock "cela" was Christ.
..for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
In Numbers 20:11 we confirm it was the "Cela" rock that travelled with them, while in Exodus 17:6 it was the "tsuwr" rock that also followed them. Both rock symbols took part in the salvation of Israel in the wilderness.
(65) 1Pe 2:8 And a stone "eben" of stumbling, and a rock "tsuwr" of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
..Isa 8:14 speaks of this verse without using "cela". Instead we have "eben" as the rock of stumbling.
