(5) : "Echad" : " unit" Strong's 259 From Jeff Benner's Lexicon book Ancient Hebrew reads "Strong outside door" The Hebrew word echad means to unite, as from the many parts of a whole. The meaning of Ancient Hebrew can be confusing unless we understand why they chose certain letters, and we ascertain this by looking at the meaning of other words similar with letters chosen.
Job 3:6 As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
Here we see a similar word for echad in a very old book, showing the word comes from,the idea to unite the many parts of a whole. In this case the nights and days into months of the year.
Eze 33:30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.

Don't let scholars hoodwink you saying the "root word fallacy" taught in Hebrew schools says to forget about studying Hebrew related words. There is plenty of evidence for reading Ancient Hebrew letters ascertaining the meaning of each word for other related words with similar letters, simply using solar Scriptora, without bias.
So in our study of "echad", we have "strong brothers standing outside the door their home" , the "unity of parts", the "many come together as one".

Discussion: Ellen White uses the concept of "unity of parts" with both earthly brothers and the heavenly family. An excellent match with "echad" meaning in her use of English.
The lawyer approached Jesus with a direct question, "Which is the first commandment of all?" The answer of Christ is direct and forcible: "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." The second is like the first, said Christ; for it flows out of it, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." {DA 607.1}
The first four of the Ten Commandments are summed up in the one great precept, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart. " The last six are included in the other, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Both these commandments are an expression of the principle of love. The first cannot be kept and the second broken, nor can the second be kept while the first is broken. When God has His rightful place on the throne of the heart, the right place will be given to our neighbor. We shall love him as ourselves. And only as we love God supremely is it possible to love our neighbor impartially. {DA 607.2}
Notice in this example she uses the "LORD GOD" as a singular term, and the Ancient Hebrew agrees.
He has taught them to trample under foot God's great moral standard, and lawlessness, corruption, and crime are the result. Jesus spoke to his people Israel from the pillar of cloud and fire. He said, "Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. "RH, May 2, 1893 par. 2}
And here Ellen White speaks of Jesus as the fire and pillar symbols, as a united part of the heavenly Elohiym.
