The brothers deal harshly with a man who "date rapes" their sister,
treating her like a plain common gutter girl, which is the
meaning of "zanah" "Behold a person you can plough seed with"
is another rearrangement of wordings to explain the meaning.
( 2 ) Ge 38:15 When Judah saw her , he thought her to be an harlot "zanah"; because she had covered her face .

Interesting the Judah see her (Tamar) as a "whore", when he is fact is whoring after her ?
( 3 ) Ge 38:24 � And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah , saying , Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot "zanah"; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom . And Judah said , Bring her forth , and let her be burnt .

( 4 ) Ex 34:15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land , and they go a whoring "zanah" after their gods , and do sacrifice unto their gods , and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice ;

While not implicitly saying so, but both genders are implied
..they go whoring after other people..

Direct evidence that "whoring" applies to "gender female" and "gender male".
( 6 ) Le 17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils , after whom they have gone a whoring "zanah". This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations .

Whoring unto devils, is a strange concept ? What does this mean ?
And especially in today's context ?
( 7 ) Le 19:29 Do not prostitute thy daughter , to cause her to be a whore "zanah"; lest the land fall to whoredom "zanah", and the land become full of wickedness . {prostitute: Heb. profane}

GOD forbids making our children into whores, yet how often
is consentual sex happening to our young people before they marry ?
The fact you think to have intercourse without regard to marriage
is exactly the crime of being a whore. God is not so much as concerned
with the intercourse, but more with the fact you are not remaining faithful
to each other as the Bible commands. Marriage is only defined by sexual
intercourse. Marriage does have other aspects, such as a party, and witnesses
and other blood covenant act. But it is primarily the blood covenant act that
binds the marriage legally in the eyes of God, and to think that young
people can have sex without regard to marriage is a WHORING act indeed !
Here is the Bible principle on sexual intercourse
Ex 22:16 � And if a man entice a maid
that is not betrothed, and lie with her,
he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
The Bible does not condemn virgins having sex
as long as they remain married to each other. It is called a shameful
marriage because other parts of the marriage have been left out, such
as the witnesses and the family party.
People who were "whores" were meant to be stoned to death. So
God has a real dislike to those who spoil His concept of marriage, and
purity of marriage and remaining faithful together.
( 8 ) Le 20:5 Then I will set my face against that man , and against his family , and will cut him off , and all that go a whoring "zanah" after him, to commit whoredom "zanah" with Molech , from among their people .
.. .. cut him off and all that go a whore ..after him, to commit whore ..
( 9 ) Le 20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits , and after wizards , to go a whoring "zanah" after them, I will even set my face against that soul , and will cut him off from among his people .

This would mean to go whoring after spirits at a s�ance. The idea of
a "whore" is a "person who ploughs his or her seed" The word for seed here
implies gamete type seed, the next line of generations through sexual means,
but the idea of seed also implies ones character. In the Bible the "seed" is a
"life germinating principle" that runs from our character, into the next
generations character. It is a character influence passed on environmentally
AND genetically. The seed is also a symbol of the Word which stood for
Jesus and His promises written in the Bible.
Thus going to a s�ance just does not mean sexual intercourse with them
physically but that your character has become intimately involved with
their character as well. Does this make sense ? Thus the Person has ploughed
his or her character with another person's character. The meaning of "whore"
hasn't changed, but it's application of meaning has, for Hebrew words have
broad meanings of principle.
Another study is "yada" in Hebrew, to be "intimate" with, implies knowledge
but is also used in the context of "sexual intercourse".
( 10 ) Le 21:7 They shall not take a wife that is a whore "zanah", or profane ; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband : for he is holy unto his God .
