( 273 ) Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son , and thou shalt call his name JESUS : for he shall save his people from their sins "chatta'ah".

comes to save people from their sin-offering. This is really great news !
Jesus is able to purge away sinning and guilt by being a better sin-bearer
than innocent animals were. Jesus is able to empower sinners in a victorious
life with Him.
( 274 ) Mt 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan , confessing their sins "chatta'ah".
.. confessing their sin-offering ..
Notice the concepts of confessing sins or errors is a sin-offering.
Such a word describes not just a sinner's sinning records and his guilt, but the
actions of transferring that guilt unto a sin-bearer, a personal Saviour, who
would bear the guilty stains away and empower the sinner with the divine
breath of salvation.
( 275 ) Mt 9:2 And , behold , they brought to him a man sick of the palsy , lying on a bed : and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy ; Son , be of good cheer ; thy sins "chatta'ah" be forgiven thee .
.. be of good cheer thy sin-offering be forgiven thee ..
It seems strange for Jesus to say thy sin-offering be forgiven, rather than thy sins
be forgiven ? Jesus cannot forigve sins without a sin-offering process that is a
lengthy process of mercy , grace and the sin-bearer purging the sinning away at
no cost to the sinner. This is truly great news.
No wonder Jesus wanted His people to know He could forgive thy sin-offering.
Jesus was the Lamb for the sin-offering, and those around Him knew it not.
( 276 ) Mt 9:5 For whether is easier , to say , Thy sins "chatta'ah" be forgiven thee ; or to say , Arise , and walk ?

( 277 ) Mt 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins "chatta'ah", (then saith he to the sick of the palsy ,) Arise , take up thy bed , and go unto thine house .

Jesus is the only BEING, Behold the PERSON. able to process thy sin-offering...
( 278 ) Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you , All manner of sin "chatta'ah" and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men : but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men .

Notice any amount of sinning and guilt and blasphemy packaged into a
sin-offering can be forgiven by Jesus but blasphemy against the
Holy Spirit will not be forgiven because such wickedness stops
Jesus from reaching the sinner with an effective sin-offering that
makes the sinner clean and empowers the sinner within.
( 279 ) Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament , which is shed for many for the remission of sins "chatta'ah".

( 280 ) Mr 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness , and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins "chatta'ah".

Some say the New Testament torah of salvation is different from the
Old Testament torah of salvation. Baptism is one example in which
they are different....
Baptism is the total body immersed under the water figuring death in the grave
and rising again to newness of life. Such a picture is a new testament type for the
changes to the sin-offering process. How was the sin-offering process
symbolized or figured in olden days in the Old Testament ?
Ex 29:36 And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering (chataah) for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse (chata) the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.
Notice context difficulty in translating "chata" as sinning...
And thou shall offer a bullock as the sin-offering dailiy for atonement. and for
the sinning (on) the altar...The translators change "chata" to mean "cleansing "
or "purging" in this context. Notice if the bull is killed daily for atonement for
the sinning on the altar, such a sacrifice is used for purging the sinning on the altar, or cleansing the altar by daily sacrifice of the bullock sin-offering. So the
translators are helping the reader to understand the context, but making
inconsistency in translations by doing so. It seems the bullock sin-offering was
used for cleansing the sinnning placed on the altar.
Since the Lamb of GOD is sacrificed only once, how is the sinning placed on the altar in heaven for the sin-offering cleansed in the New Testament torah process of salvation ?
Heb 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Jesus does not need to sacrifice each time He enters
the holy place in heaven.
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Again Paul speaks of the once only sacrifice of Jesus....
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Since people guilty of sinning die only ONCE for their sinning
after judgement, Jesus too died only ONCE for the sinning of people packaged
into the sin-offering as the Lamb of GOD who takes away the sin-offering
of the world.
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin-offering unto salvation.
Again Paul says Jesus died only ONCE for sin-offering.
Notice when Jesus come the second time, Jesus comes without sin-offering.
This suggests strongly the cases of salvation for people living on the earth
must be decided by them BEFORE Jesus comes the second time in the
clouds above the earth.
So baptism must be a kind of living sacrifice of the death of the sinner once
for his sinning, and since Jesus is more empowered to make sinner's live
righteously with Him, such a torah of salvation is better than the torah of
salvation in the Old Testament. What makes the New Testament torah
of salvation better is not a change of teachings, or process so much, but
the promise of better power for victorious living.
In the Old Testament torah of salvation there was the laver, a type of cleansing
for washing feet, not unlike the foot washing required for the Lord's Supper,
the renewed Passover memorial in the New Testament torah of salvation.
