( 251 ) Job 28:1  Surely there is a vein for the silver "keceph", and a place for gold where they fine it. {vein: or, mine}
.. there is a vein for the silver ..
( 252 ) Job 28:15 It cannot be gotten for gold , neither shall silver "keceph" be weighed for the price thereof. {It...: Heb. Fine gold shall not be given for it}
.. for gold neither shall silver ..
( 253 ) Job 31:39 If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money "keceph", or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life : {fruits: Heb. strength} {the owners...: Heb. the soul of the owners thereof to expire, or, breathe out}
.. the fruits thereof without silver ..
( 254 ) Ps 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words : as silver "keceph" tried in a furnace of earth , purified seven times .
.. hovahare pure words as silver ..
( 255 ) Ps 15:5 He that putteth not out his money "keceph" to usury , nor taketh reward against the innocent . He that doeth these things shall never be moved .
.. Ps 15:5 He that putteth not out his silver ..
( 256 ) Ps 66:10 For thou, O God , hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver "keceph" is tried .
.. thou hast tried us, as silver ..
Money is used by God to test our love of gratitude to Him..
To whom much is given, much is demanded..
Lu 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things
worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For
unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much
required: and to whom men have committed much,
of him they will ask the more.
Some rich people in the Bible were blessed by Jesus,
Solomon is one example, who coveted money by desire.
For Solomon, his indulgence of life, made him fall into
sinning. He later repented of his sinning, but did much damage
to Israel ever after. Such are the lessons of money. The desire for
money corrupts the heart. Even if one does not desire money,
when Jesus blesses us with success and money, our hearts become
happy but we rise is self exaltation and we forget Jesus.
There was the danger of the young rich spirit of man, who
was empowered by Jesus and blessed by Jesus, and loved dearly
bu Jesus. But when asked the question of his soul, the young man
went away sad, saying to himself, the cost was too great. What cost
was Jesus asking the young rich man ? The cost of a "self-powered"
life.
Mt 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Those who have less money are more likely of humble
character. Those of rich character, showing many Christian virtues
of love, talents and wisdom, are less likely to enter the presence of
Jesus ? Why ? Because we forget the source of our marriage
our lover Jesus.
Ho 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled;
they were filled, and their heart was exalted;
therefore have they forgotten me.
We grow in pride, as we grow richer in Jesus love.
This is a condition difficult to remove unless we learn
the giving away of money (symbols of our blessings)
makes us more thirsty for Jesus, and helps us to
continue with keeping on receiving His abundance.
( 257 ) Ps 68:13 Though ye have lien among the pots , yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver "keceph", and her feathers with yellow gold .
.. a dove covered with silver ..
( 258 ) Ps 68:30 Rebuke the company of spearmen , the multitude of the bulls , with the calves of the people , till every one submit himself with pieces of silver "keceph": scatter thou the people that delight in war . {the company...: or, the beasts of the reeds} {scatter...: or, he scattereth}
.. himself with pieces of silver ..
( 259 ) Ps 105:37 He brought them forth also with silver "keceph" and gold : and there was not one feeble person among their tribes .
.. He brought them forth also with silver ..
( 260 ) Ps 115:4 Their idols are silver "keceph" and gold , the work of men's hands .
.. silver ..
