Be lowly as a child..

( 31 ) Mt 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble "shaphal" himself as this little child , the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven .

.. Whosoever therefore shall low .. A different Greek word is used here, "tapeinoo" which is really the same as the Greek word "tapeinosis". The word "tapeinos" is also similar, if not the same as well, hence all these words are really translations from the Hebrew "shaphael", meaning to be low.

If you doubt that verbs and nouns are really the same words, click here. . So we have to be as "low" as a child. A child knows his rank among adults. We have to know our subordination rank in our relationship to Jesus. Shalom

A mountain in the Bible is a symbol of a kingdom power, and humans can be full of pride, and thus become symbols of rocky cliffs.
