| ( 31 ) Mt 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble "shaphal" himself as this little child , the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven .
   .. Whosoever therefore shall low ..
 A different Greek word is used here, "tapeinoo" which is really the same as
 the Greek word "tapeinosis". The word "tapeinos" is also similar, if not the
  same as well, hence all these words are really translations from the
  Hebrew "shaphael", meaning to be low.

  If you doubt that verbs and nouns are really the same words, click here. .
 So we have to be as "low" as a child. A child knows his rank among adults.
 We have to know our subordination rank in our relationship to Jesus. Shalom

    ( 32 ) Mt 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased "shaphal"; and he that shall humble "shaphal" himself shall be exalted .

    .. .. exalt himself shall be low ..and he that shall low ..

  ( 33 )  Lu 3:5 Every  valley  shall be  filled , and  every  mountain  and  hill  shall be brought low "shaphal"; and  the crooked  shall be made  straight , and  the rough  ways  shall be made  smooth ;

    .. hill shall be brought low ..
 Correctly translated by King James, every mountain and hill shall be brought
  low... A mountain in the Bible is a symbol of a kingdom power, and humans
  can be full of pride, and thus become symbols of rocky cliffs. Imagine a
 whole kingdom of proud people and who have a cultural mountain, or strong
  authority opposing GOD. In the Daniel imagine of the rock striking the image,
  is a symbol of the mountain of GOD, and the rock of ages, Jesus who comes
  to destroy the mountains of the earth. Shalom

   ( 34 ) Lu 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased "shaphal"; and he that humbleth "shaphal" himself shall be exalted .

    .. .. himself shall be low ..be abased and he that low ..

  ( 35 ) Lu 18:14 I tell you , this man went down to his house justified rather than the other : for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased "shaphal"; and he that humbleth "shaphal" himself shall be exalted .

    .. .. himself shall be low ..be abased and he that low ..

  ( 36 ) 2Co 11:7 Have I committed an offence in abasing "shaphal" myself that ye might be exalted , because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely ?

    .. an offence in lowering myself ..

  ( 37 ) 2Co 12:21 And lest , when I come again , my God will humble "shaphal" me among you , and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already , and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed .

    .. my God will lower me ..

  ( 38 )  Php 2:8 And  being found  in fashion  as  a man , he humbled "shaphal" himself , and became  obedient  unto  death , even  the death  of the cross . {fashion: or habit}

    .. as a man  he low  ..

  ( 39 ) Php 4:12 I know both how to be abased "shaphal", and I know how to abound : every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry , both to abound and to suffer need .

    .. 4:12 I know both how to be low ..

  ( 40 ) Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves "shaphal" in the sight of the Lord , and he shall lift you up .

    .. lower yourselves in the sight of the Lord ..
