The ten commandments enlarge the heart with love

.. when thou shalt enlarge my heart, mind .. The ten commandments are principles of relationships to the Father in heaven and principles of the relationship of love. Such principles enlarge the heart with more love.

Why were the ten commandments first written as don'ts and do's ? Because children of rebellion can't see relationships until they mature first.. How would you tell a child about the moral wrongness of squashing an ant out of jest on a footpath?
