.. harden not your heart .. The attitude to harden one's heart... The flinching of teeth pressed together The person who is stiff necked over the horizons of time "I'm too busy" "Too busy to stop" "Things to do" The stiff neck have no time, they are too busy with barter and trade. "Just another dollar in business and I will be well" The attitude of a stiff neck is always for more... They trade with God...O for more leeks and onions... All I have is this house, and poor clothes...? Why can't you give me more riches O Lord ? Arrr the stick neck demands of those never happy...

.. inclined their ear but hard .. Notice the problem of a stiff neck is they do not listen They are poor listeners... They fail to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit when times get heated...How hard it is to remain humble expecially when under stress... Instead we grissle and tighten our necks and foreskins of our skull, and experience headaches and tension. We become stiff necks, and feel the hard people around us, and fight back. As poor people under oppression by the proud, the humble and meek have to learn to be quiet when the opressors come and bear the heat without fighting back. Do not open your mouth.

Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

It's easy to become stiff necked and fight back. Don't be tempted to Satan's ground. Feel Jesus power and humbly accept the heat given you. Relax and smile for your reward is great.

Heb 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

It's easy to become stiff necked and fight back. Don't. You have Jesus and eternity of power. Do not use human power to fight back. Stay with Jesus and feel the heat of oppression and gladly smile under it. For as you experience oppression the fire of afflictions make you purer.

( 27 ) Jer 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear , but made their neck stiff "qashah", that they might not hear , nor receive instruction .

( 28 ) Jer 19:15 Thus saith the LORD of hosts , the God of Israel ; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened "qashah" their necks , that they might not hear my words .

.. against it, because they have hard .. Hardening the attitude to Jesus power in us, is a common sin to us all. We resist Jesus power in us, or forget Him in the heat of oppression. We go to our own self powered Baal effort that flows to nothing .

( 29 ) Ge 42:7 � And Joseph saw his brethren , and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly "qashah" unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said , From the land of Canaan to buy food . {roughly...: Heb. hard things with them}
