 If leaders speak hard, than their words are cruel, or stressful
 to your ears. And you feel oppressed.
 
   ( 12 )  1Ki 12:4 Thy father  made "qashah" our yoke  grievous "qashah": now therefore make thou the grievous "qashah" service  of thy father , and his heavy  yoke  which he put  upon us, lighter , and we will serve  thee.

 The concept of barter and trade comes here, remember other related
  words ? The people are oppressed by hard greedy leaders.
 The hard leaders have an attitude of greed, and oppression.

 Elias asked for a double blessing from Elijah, a hard thing....the word
 seem in a positive light.

 the meaning is one of pressing on a person, something hard to do....
 But God does it anyway....

 The people harden their necks, like dogs in anger, the neck muscles stiffen
 the attitudes rise in anger, the proud stance will not humble itself.
 The stick neck attitude is made.
