Eating to the full, gluttony

( 1 ) Ex 16:8 And Moses said , This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat , and in the morning bread to the full "saba`"; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we ? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD .

.. in the morning bread to the fill .. There is an interesting picture here. The "thorny home eye" God is creating a home for His children, and their eye has prickles. They murmur over the lack of abundance of food, so God provides man(not the Greek idea of manna) to supply their desires. Thus Jesus is "protecting His home from the eye...". Lust is a very dangerous thing, especially if the eye is not self controlled and free from lusty temptations. Perhaps that is why the children did not eat dainties and luxurious food, lest the eye run them into lust again. The man was simple wholesome and good to eat.

( 2 ) Ex 16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel : speak unto them, saying , At even ye shall eat flesh , and in the morning ye shall be filled "saba`" with bread ; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God .

.. and in the morning ye shall be fill ..

( 3 ) Le 26:26 And when I have broken the staff of your bread , ten women shall bake your bread in one oven , and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight : and ye shall eat , and not be satisfied "saba`".

.. and ye shall eat and not be fill ..

( 4 ) De 6:11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged , which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees , which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full "saba`";

.. not; when thou shalt have eaten and be fill ..

( 5 ) De 8:10 When thou hast eaten and art full "saba`", then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

.. De 8:10 When thou hast eaten and art full ..

( 6 ) De 8:12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full "saba`", and hast built goodly houses , and dwelt therein;

.. 8:12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full ..

( 7 ) De 11:15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle , that thou mayest eat and be full "saba`". {send: Heb. give}

.. that thou mayest eat and be full ..

( 8 ) De 14:29 And the Levite , (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger , and the fatherless , and the widow , which are within thy gates , shall come , and shall eat and be satisfied "saba`"; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest .

.. come and shall eat and be filled ..

( 9 ) De 26:12  When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year , which is the year of tithing , and hast given it unto the Levite , the stranger , the fatherless , and the widow , that they may eat within thy gates , and be filled "saba`";

.. within thy gates and be filled ..

( 10 ) De 31:20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers , that floweth with milk and honey ; and they shall have eaten and filled "saba`" themselves, and waxen fat ; then will they turn unto other gods , and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant .

.. bash and they shall have eaten and filled ..
