Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery technology - off grid

Q3: Welcome to Off Grid living.

This is the third day, the Inverter made it right through the night, and into early morning on still another cloudy day. The voltage is 25.3V close to cut off. The Air Conditioner is using 500 W taking 17 to 21 Amps from the Inverter.

It's 8:30 am and we have 71 Amps coming in already and 17 Amps going out, with the voltage on 26.7V

This is great news, one might have designed the system well after all.

Mathematically 20 Amps x 15 hours, is 300 Amp/hr

So this means, the entire battery is consumed every day and the sunshine is required to re-charge the batteries.

It's day 4 and 7:30am another cloudy drizzle day.

My simple Hall Effect Ammeters show me:

20Amps in 17Amps out 26.2V

So the battery has lost 70% of its amps during the night and amazingly getting 20 Amps coming in on a cloudy dull day.

I like the simplicity of the design and that is works !
