Q32: Welcome to prayer training by Jesus.. Understand the childlike foundations first:-
Consider prayer 28:-
Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock (tsuwr) "Father rock"; be not silent (charash) "silent" to me: lest, if thou be silent (charash) "silent" to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
David is praying to the Father to be not silent to him, to speak audibly through the conscience of his mind.
The Hebrew word "charash", Strongs 2814, reads "Outside Pressed. Behold the Person!",
and is a picture of the outside of the mouth, closed in silence. Most so called followers of Jesus assume in prayer Jesus does not talk audibly through our conscience, which is defined as the agency of the Holy Spirit to us,
so they follow a religion that is more or less "silent". David is NOT praying for this at all.
Our Father in heaven, thank you for Jesus, your Son,
who speaks audibly to us via the Holy Spirit,
through our conscience our heavenly Father is NOT silent,
we support Jesus words. Amen
Ps 28:2 Hear the voice of my supplications (tachanuwn) "supplications", when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
The Hebrew word (tachanuwn) {8469} has pictographs which read "The Cross Outside Over the Nations, secured over the nations", is a complex picture of an expanded theme.
The root meaning is the "Outside over the nations" meaning the beauty of the tent, the family home that camps in the wilderness, awaits your eyes when you see coming home. Other pictures related to this theme is the flow of compassion from within the family tent of heaven.
This picture is a good simile of our supplications, we want the beauty of Jesus who has provided for us, all things we need for salvation; to come flow over us with His beauty or grace.
Our Father in heaven, You are not silent,
thank you for all the provisions for our salvation,
thank you for Jesus and His beauty that flows over us, over the nations,
we support Jesus words. Amen
The Author is impressed with the Hebrew words with "eye" and "plough" pictographs in them. Not sure why David prayed these words for the first time here.
Another thing is the terrible inconsistent translation of a particular verse concerning three Hebrew nouns all in a row.
Why do some translators swap Hebrew nouns before others to make English sound better? Can translators do this? No.
Ps 28:8 (Hebrew) .. Yashua Maowz Mashiyach.
Ps 28:8 (KJV) ..He [is] the saving strength of his anointed.
Ps 28:8 (ASV) .. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
Ps 28:8 (BBE) ..A strong place of salvation for his king.
Ps 28:8 (DBY) ..He is the stronghold of salvation to his anointed one.
Ps 28:8 (NKJV) ..He [is] the saving refuge of His anointed.
Ps 28:8 (WEB) ..He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
Ps 28:8 (YLT) ..The strength of the salvation of His anointed [is] He.
Ps 28:8 (Ancient Hebrew) .. Jesus the Strong Christ.
Assuming we can swap Hebrew words as we feel when we see nouns side by other nouns,
(as other translators do ), we can say the phrase translates as .. "the strong Jesus Christ" using popular Greek English.
Thus is a sad example, how translators remove the functional descriptor of Jesus Christ from the Old Testament. The Hebrew word "Yashuwah" also spelled as "Yashua" or "Yashuah" written in Greek is "Jesus",
and the Hebrew word "mashiyach" writen in Greek English is "Christ". Shalom
This 28th prayer is about asking Our Father in heaven NOT to be silent.
How do we hear the voice of GOD?
Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Wellspring of life,...Pr 12.4
Where is this in Scripture?
Pr 18:4 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. (KJV)
Another way of saying all this:-
Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Spiritual Springs of life,...Pr 12.4
Who is the Spiritual Springs of Life? Jesus is. The aim of Spritual Springs as a website is to bring you more and more of Jesus.
So how do we pray? This study continues on with our Hebrew English Translator from the previous webpage.
Daily prayer is as essential to growth in grace, and even to spiritual life itself, as is temporal food to physical well-being. We should accustom ourselves to often lift the thoughts to God in prayer. If the mind wanders, we must bring it back; by persevering effort, habit will finally make it easy. We cannot for one moment separate ourselves from Christ with safety. We may have His presence to attend us at every step, but only by observing the conditions which He has Himself laid down.(Messages to Young People, 115.) Pr 17.1
Pray continually, the Scriptures says (Prayer 72:15). Praying to Jesus with words continually through your conscience mind, is spiritual power every moment of your day.
Several times each day precious, golden moments should be consecrated to prayer and the study of the Scriptures, if it is only to commit a text to memory, that spiritual life may exist in the soul. The varied interests of the cause furnish us with food for reflection and inspiration for our prayers. Communion with God is highly essential for spiritual health, and here only may be obtained that wisdom and correct judgment so necessary in the performance of every duty.(Testimonies for the Church 4:459.) Pr 18.3
What the SOP is talking about is prayer is talking to GOD and GOD talking back to you via your conscience mind, the active agency of the Holy Spirit. Thus the voice of Elohiym speaks with true followers of Elohiym. This is achieved by "supporting" Jesus, and Jesus supports you with a continual flow of His power. This process occurs when you memorize Seeds and sow them constantly in your mind. These Seeds are small parts of Scripture known as Prayer Promises, or words in Scripture with hopeful promises of Jesus' power.
Some say there is over 3500 such Prayer Promise Seeds we can sow, as prayers we speak, but it is important we memorize them, or speak them with child like support, so Jesus honours your support of Him, will support you back. Thus faith as a gift, works.
His nature was without the taint of sin. As the Son of man, He prayed to the Father, showing that human nature requires all the divine support which man can obtain that he may be braced for duty and prepared for trial. As the Prince of Life, He had power with God, and prevailed for His people. This Saviour, who prayed for those that felt no need of prayer, and wept for those that felt no need of tears, is now before the throne, to receive and present to His Father the petitions of those for whom He prayed on earth. The example of Christ is for us to follow. Prayer is a necessity in our labor for the salvation of souls. God alone can give the increase of the seed we sow.(Gospel Workers, 28, 29.) Pr 19.1
Jesus was without missing relationship to His Father. Jesus was constantly talking and listening to the Father speak back to His Son. This is the term SOP calls "divine support". This is the same example for us (1John 2:6 ). When you support Jesus correctly, He will support you back constantly.
Let much time be spent in prayer and close searching of the word. Let all obtain the real facts of faith in their own souls through belief that the Holy Spirit will be imparted to them because they have a real hungering and thirsting after righteousness.... Let there be more praying, believing, and receiving, and more working together with God.(Testimonies for the Church 6:65, 66.) Pr 28.4
Here is a fuzzy SOP passage. Why is the message fuzzy?
Mt 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. (KJV)
Let's show you three Hebrew words quoted here in English, with the clearer meaning SOP used, ie "Support".
Let much time be spent in prayer and close searching of the Word. Let all obtain the real facts of Support in their own souls through support that the Holy Spirit will be imparted to them because they have a real hungering and thirsting after righteousness.... Let there be more praying, supporting, and receiving, and more working together with God.(Testimonies for the Church 6:65, 66.) Pr 28.4
Notice the clearer message. Prayer is about supporting GOD. When you support Jesus using His words, He will support you back with His power.
See study of "faith/support" if you haven't seen this already.
The themes of redemption are momentous themes, and only those who are spiritually minded can discern their depth and significance. It is our safety, our life, our joy, to dwell upon the truths of the plan of salvation. Faith and prayer are necessary in order that we may behold the deep things of God. .(The Review and Herald, November 17, 1891.) Pr 30.2
Support and prayer are necessary in order that we may behold the deep things of God. Pr 30.2
So not many followers of Jesus know about this. Maybe as a babe, we can be saved as a firebrand snatched from the fire unto salvation (Zec 3:2). But there are few indeed with mature walk in Jesus. (Hebrews 5:13-14)
We simply do not know how to support Jesus. We do not know how to increase our faith.
When about to speak passionately, close your mouth. Don't utter a word. Pray before you speak, and heavenly angels will come to your assistance and drive back the evil angels, who would lead you to dishonor God, reproach His cause, and weaken your own soul.(Testimonies for the Church 2:82.) Pr 50.2
The Author misses Jesus power in the talking presence of others, because we speak using our "Baal master powers of self" rather than asking Jesus in prayer what do we say to these people next. Thus we listen more, listen to Jesus speak to us, and speak those words. There are two masters in our life, self must die and Jesus must live.
Pray in (faith support). And be sure to bring your lives into harmony with your petitions, that you may receive the blessings for which you pray. Let not your (faith support) weaken, for the blessings received are proportionate to the (faith support) exercised. According to your (faith support) be it unto you.All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, (believing supporting), ye shall receive. Matthew 9:29; Matthew 21:22. Pray, (believe support), rejoice. Sing praises to God because He has answered your prayers. Take Him at His word. He is (faithful supportive) that promised. Hebrews 10:23. Not one sincere supplication is lost. The channel is open; the stream is flowing. It carries with it healing properties, pouring forth a restoring current of life and health and salvation.(Testimonies for the Church 7:274.) Pr 51.2
Pray in support. Jesus supports you as You support Him. Pray according to the level of support you want. More or less. Up to you. Be humble and meek in your support, not presumptous. Avoid all propensities and missing. Ask Jesus directly what you do right or wrong with His flow of power. Take Jesus as His Word. Jesus is supportive.
And written in clearer tones:-
Pray in support. And be sure to bring your lives into harmony with your petitions, that you may receive the blessings for which you pray. Let not your support weaken, for the blessings received are proportionate to the support exercised. According to your support be it unto you.All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, supporting, ye shall receive. Matthew 9:29; Matthew 21:22. Pray, support, rejoice. Sing praises to God because He has answered your prayers. Take Him at His Word. He is supportive that promised. Hebrews 10:23. Not one sincere supplication is lost. The channel is open; the stream is flowing. It carries with it healing properties, pouring forth a restoring current of life and health and Jesus.(Testimonies for the Church 7:274.) Pr 51.2
Is this clearer for the reader?
You need not go to the ends of the earth for wisdom, for God is near. ... Put your talents into the work, ask God for wisdom, and it will be given you.(Christ's Object Lessons, 146.) Pr 53.3
Wisdom is a community process of receiving wise directions from the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. But Wisdom is also personified by a living Agency, inside every living human, as the Holy Spirit, who functions as a "conscience" which is a special place where mankind actually communes with the Family of GOD, or the "Family" of Satan, where we choose which Ruler rules over us.
See study of wisdom.
Since this is the means by which we are to receive power, why do we not hunger and thirst for the gift of the Spirit? Why do we not talk of it, pray for it, and preach concerning it? The Lord is more willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who serve Him than parents are to give good gifts to their children. For the daily baptism of the Spirit every worker should offer his petition to God (ie: Elohiym) . Companies of Christian workers should gather to ask for special help, for heavenly wisdom, that they may know how to plan and execute wisely. Especially should they pray that God will baptize His chosen ambassadors in mission fields with a rich measure of His Spirit. The presence of the Spirit with God's workers will give the proclamation of truth a power that not all the honor or glory of the world could give.(The Acts of the Apostles, 49-51.) Pr 160.2
Why is it people are confused over community references with Divine Persons? The SOP term "God" is a community reference to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which is a simile of family, as the "Lord", a community term for Jesus or and the Father, more willing than earthly parents to give good gifts to their children. Notice the SOP does not say the Lord gives good gifts to His children, but their children. The word "Lord" is a community reference.
The word "Spirit" is also a community reference, referring to the character of the Father and or the Son that flows as love from the family generator of love. This is why the SOP references "spirit" as "it". But the "spirit" as a community term, is also a personal divine agency, that brings us this love, known as the Holy Spirit.
It is impossible to estimate the power of a praying mother's influence. She acknowledges God in all her ways. She takes her children before the throne of grace and presents them to Jesus, pleading for His blessing upon them. The influence of those prayers is to those children as a wellspring of life. These prayers, offered in faith, are the support and strength of the Christian mother. To neglect the duty of praying with our children is to lose one of the greatest blessings within our reach, one of the greatest helps amid the perplexities, cares, and burdens of our lifework. Pr 196.4
Here is a challenge to our readers. Does not the SOP, like the Scriptures, write in poetry allegories? Or poetry similes? How does a mother bring her prayers physically to the throne of grace, to Jesus in heaven? Such prayers are carried by the Holy Spirit, who functions as a simile of a mother. This theme will be developed more and more in the SOP for the reader, so please read on.
But Felix had never before listened to the truth, and as the Spirit of God (elohiym) sent conviction to his soul, he became deeply agitated. Conscience, now aroused, made her voice heard, and Felix felt that Paul's words were true. AA 425.3
The community references of "spirit of God" and "conscience" are also administrated personally by the agency of the Holy Spirit, as her voice.
Listen to the voice of conscience. Love God and you will have his approving smile. What a thought, to have the great God, the maker of the heavens and the earth, to smile upon and love you. Dear children, seek for this, pray for it, live for it. AY 41.1
Notice the community references to God and conscience with praying for "it". The reference to "his smile" is a community reference to, to either the Father and or the Son. Through the conscience we can hear the speaking of the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit, or even all three, it really does not matter, it is the voice of GOD speaking to us. Learn to listen to this voice in secret prayer.
As man yields to temptation, and indulges in sin, his mind becomes darkened. The moral sense is perverted. The warnings of conscience are disregarded, and its voice is less clearly heard. He gradually loses the power to distinguish between right and wrong, until he has no true sense or his standing before God. He may observe the forms of religion and zealously maintain its doctrines, while destitute of its spirit .......
Those who are most closely connected with God are the ones who know His voice when He speaks to them. Those who are spiritual discern spiritual things. Such will feel grateful that the Lord has pointed out their errors. CCh 96.3
Notice the community references , for "it's voice", "God" and "His voice".
This is the work of the Holy Spirit. The light of the word carefully studied, the voice of conscience, the strivings of the Spirit, produce in the heart genuine love for Christ, who gave Himself a whole sacrifice to redeem the whole person, body, soul, and spirit. CCh 295.5
Notice how the Holy Spirit is an agency for the conscience, to bring the flow of love from the Father and Son to us. But notice also the Holy Spirit also strives as well.
Conscience arouses and makes her voice heard, saying, This is not the way to obtain health or true happiness. CH 627.2
Sometimes the SOP writes like this. Such a statement is correct too, even though the term conscience is a community term, it is also an agency term where a divine Being administrates the voice of Elohiym, but also can at times speak using her own voice.
Satan uses his influence to drown the voice of God and the voice of conscience, and the world acts as if under his control. "Mind, Character, and Personality, vol. 1, p. 320.3"
Here the SOP writes as a parallel, making the voice of God, a simile of the voice of the conscience.
Nature utters her voice in lessons of heavenly wisdom and eternal truth. COL 107.5
Mother Nature is a simile of heavenly wisdom, which is a community reference to heavenly truth, the Father and or the Son. But the way the SOP breaks the community references into two groups shows a difference in the way divine personalities are expressed. Thus wisdom is also a Divine Being personifying the community references of wise directions as the Holy Spirit, and as her voice. Perhaps Mother Nature is a simile of the Holy Spirit?
Notice this SOP carefully:
The whole natural world is designed to be an interpreter of the things of God. To Adam and Eve in their Eden home, nature was full of the knowledge of God, teeming with divine instruction. To their attentive ears it was vocal with the voice of wisdom. Wisdom spoke to the eye and was received into the heart, for they communed with God in His created works. As soon as the holy pair transgressed the law of the Most High, the brightness from the face of God departed from the face of nature. Nature is now marred and defiled by sin. But God's object lessons are not obliterated; even now, rightly studied and interpreted, she speaks of her Creator....(or she speaks of her Creator) CT 186.1
Mother Nature speaks with a "voice" with the "voice of wisdom". This in interesting.
Mother Nature speaks of her Creator. This is interesting too.
The use of pronouns is confusing. If Mother nature speaks of her Creator, than we have The Father, Son and Holy Spirit as Creative Powers of all things, but particularly creation was spoken by Jesus, as Creator. In this case the feminine pronoun of nature is just a co-incidence.
Or Mother Nature a simile of the work of the Holy Spirit, who empowered the words of Jesus using the Father's power to create everything in a mysterious way science terms a "medium affect".
Hence the reference to Mother Nature as a "she" is a reference to the Holy Spirit as a "she", this term refers to the way the Holy Spirit functions with love, as femaleness-love; not a reference to "gender".
Many teach that matter possesses vital power, that certain properties are imparted to matter, and it is then left to act through its own inherent energy; and that the operations of nature are conducted in harmony with fixed laws, with which God himself cannot interfere. This is false science, and is not sustained by the word of God. Nature is the servant of her Creator. God does not annul his laws, or work contrary to them; but he is continually using them as his instruments. Nature testifies of an intelligence, a presence, an active energy, that works in and through her laws. There is in nature the continual working of the Father and the Son. Christ says, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. [John 5:17.] CE 194.3
The Author find pronouns confusing and trying to be fair. Why does Hebrew have masculine and feminine nouns anyway?
If we have only the Father and Son as Creative Powers, as some religions say, we have a problem:
Ps 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath (rwuach) "Holy Spirit" of his mouth.
(KJV)
Verses like this tell us the Holy Spirit was also actively present in Creation, as a Creative Power. Thus the SOP passage has to include the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit as Creative powers.
The SOP collectively groups the masculine creative powers as a united power.
Christ says, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
The feminine creative power is presented as a mysterious medium, the "intelligence, a presence, an active energy". The Holy Spirit functions as an administrator or agency channelling the Father's and Son's power to Nature, keeping it in motion.
This is the only way we can make sense of all three Creative powers.
Hebrew dictates that in a community reference of powers, only masculine creative powers are referenced, even when masculine and feminine creative powers are in the community at the same time.
For example:
Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Shadday) "Holy Spirit" .
Ps 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings... (KJV)
We have a song "Under His wings, I am safely abiding"... Does the Father have wings, like a bird, a covering of feathers, as both Hebrew words are here (feathers and covering)?
The only Personal Being as a simile of a bird, with feathers and coverings, is the Holy Spirit.
So here is an example of a community picture, of masculine love and feminine love without reference to gender shape, but different ways of loving, shown as a united unit. The overall affect is "His wings" overshadow us.
How is this explained? The term "shadow" shows us:
The Father of lights floods over the Shadday who blocks partially the light causing the yellow shadow, which travels to earth, and we dwell under "His wings", causing two shadows on earth, the light grey shadow called a pre-umbra and the darker grey shadow called an umbra shadow. Thus the reference to shadow, explains how this community effect works.
Such a process allows the Father to light sinners without destroying them by the direct brightness of His presence. This effect is called in science, a "medium effect".
This means light enters through something (solid, liquid or gaseous) and the light entering is changed in some way, causing a change in observed properties.
Can you remember things like this in school? Too long ago?
One example observed is making things that are naturally straight look bent, or making things naturally bent look straight.
This is something a "medium effect" does. The Holy Spirit is a "medium effect". Jesus said this when He spoke of the function of the Holy Spirit as "wind".
Wind is air that carries energy inside it in special ways. We can't see the wind carrying the energy but we do feel its effects on our face. A medium is something that carries something.
Some religions say the Holy Spirit is just a passive force of the Father. This is not so, for the medium effect to work properly it has to be materially it's own object, and light materially it's own object.
In fact science says when light bounces off medium objects, the light changes from a wave function to a particle function. The duality of light is thus affected. We are assuming science can explain such things.
Personally such things are mysterious, but we all had to learn some science in our school days.
Here is an image of the medium effect of the Holy Spirit showing two Personal Beings, the Father and the Holy Spirit working together so light can be changed second by second as humans want less or more of the Father's presence of love, and not perish.
The medium effect has to be administrated by Divine Personal Beings, not a passive force, as this picture shows. This is the only picture the Author knows of, where a Personal Presence must direct the medium effect daily, moment by moment.
There is no natural experiment showing a medium affect using passive forces from a light source. Light has to enter materially another object for the medium properties to work.
For more see:-
Medium properties of the Holy Spirit
"In every age there is given to men their day of light and privilege, a probationary time in which they may become reconciled to God. But there is a limit to this grace. Mercy may plead for years and be slighted and rejected; but there comes a time when mercy makes her last plea. The heart becomes so hardened that it ceases to respond to the Spirit of God. Then the sweet, winning voice entreats the sinner no longer, and reproofs and warnings cease." - The Desire of Ages, p. 587.1
This statement is very convincing. Who is the voice of the conscience that pleas to us to come to God, as a simile of mercy? The Holy Spirit, speaks her voice to us, if we listen to the still small voice.
" Again was fulfilled the warning prophecy given fourteen centuries before: The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, ... and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. Deuteronomy 28:56, 57. GC 32.1 ... The Spirit of God, persistently resisted, is at last withdrawn from the sinner, and then there is left no power to control the evil passions of the soul, and no protection from the malice and enmity of Satan. The destruction of Jerusalem is a fearful and solemn warning to all who are trifling with the offers of divine grace and resisting the pleadings of divine mercy. Never was there given a more decisive testimony to God's hatred of sin and to the certain punishment that will fall upon the guilty. GC 36.1
Another challenging thing for readers to consider is that Jerusalem might also be a simile of a woman and a simile of the Holy Spirit. This is called an allegory in poetry, rather than a simile, but man likes to make us confused with man-made labels of poetry.
Here another challenging passage:
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. Infidel France had silenced the reproving voice of God's two witnesses. The word of truth lay dead in her streets, and those who hated the restrictions and requirements of God's law were jubilant. Men publicly defied the King of heaven. Like the sinners of old, they cried: How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the Most High? Psalm 73:11. GC 274.2
Notice these two witnesses are personal Beings. The Word personified as truth is Jesus, representing the Father. The speaking of mercy in your conscience in her voice (as an figure of cities) is the Holy Spirit. These two divine Beings are referenced as helpers and comforters, representing the Father in heaven.
In order to strengthen the balance of probabilities for this idea, one would have to study all SOP material, looking at Jerusalem, mercy and "her" for clues of figures related to the Holy Spirit. The Author only throws out an idea at this stage.
Here is another challenging passage:
"We must have the Spirit of God, or we can never have harmony in the home. The wife, if she has the spirit of Christ, will be careful of her words; she will control her spirit, she will be submissive, and yet will not feel that she is a bondslave, but a companion to her husband. If the husband is a servant of God, he will not lord it over his wife; he will not be arbitrary and exacting. We cannot cherish home affection with too much care; for the home, if the Spirit of the Lord dwells there, is a type of heaven.... ...7 AH 118.1
The SOP is saying a man married to a wife in a home, is a type of heaven. Thus the wife is figure or type of the Holy Spirit.
Of God's people He says, Her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be treasured nor laid up. But many who profess to believe the truth do not want God in their thoughts, any more than did the antediluvians or Sodomites. One sensible thought of God, awakened by the Holy Spirit, would spoil all their schemes. Self, self, self, has been their god, their alpha and their omega. CS 141.2
The SOP makes parallel to another city, ie Babylon, the city of confusion, which is administrated by the Holy Spirit, to those who long for a dysfunctional spirit, thus receive the "spirit of Satan". Notice the pictures of "her hire" refers to the dysfunctional desire of the Holy Spirit. Where does Scripture say similar things?
1Sa 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil (ra) "dsyfunctional" spirit from the LORD troubled him.
Scriptures writes that YHWH-Jesus controls Satanic ruling over your soul, or the Father ruling over your soul, your choice. The administration of your choice comes from the Holy Spirit. This is as a poetry picture figured as two women, as two cities, Jerusalem or Babylon.
Isa 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Here the picture parallel of poetry figures are described. God functions as a mother functions, and is personified as a city.
Ga 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
(KJV)
Some religions say YHWH the Father has no mother, whatever that means, and that the city only functions as a mother, whatever they mean by saying this term.
It does much violence to Scripture poetry pictures to say things like this. Do we say the poetry similes are only fiction? God never intended us to take them literally? Is not Hebrew a literal language?
Greek is an abstract language full of confusion. We can say in Greek, "he is angry" but in Hebrew we say "he is full of nose", sounds silly I know, but Hebrew is a literal language, and the poetry pictures of similes show us "God darkly".
How else can GOD describe itself, unless it uses material pictures humans are familiar with?
However if you want to doubt and live in your confusion, that's your choice.
Mt 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
(KJV)
Even Jesus could not convince all his followers that He was alive and living again inside a risen body of humanity, that somehow walked through walls.
Such mysteries are beyond the understanding of child like faith. But my friend, do not doubt.
The Author hopes the reader is beginning to see how we should pray, and what praying is about. Our Heavenly Father is not silent.
Listen to the still small voice of Elohiym speaking to you via the conscience, via the agency of the Holy Spirit, the one who functions with femaleness-love as a mother on earth functions with femaleness-love in a family, which is a poetry type of heaven.
Whom the still small voice that speaks, does not matter, only that you praise GOD for prayer, which is a two way process of talking and listening. If prayer is only all about talking, what a boring process that would be.
Spend more time listening to GOD speak back to you. Ask Him what you're doing functionally and dysfunctionally to your relationship with Jesus, that causes you to miss out on receiving more of God's power. Do not drown out the still small voice of God with man-made music.
Learn to have a soul with a conscience of no distractions of confusion, so you hear the voice of God via your conscience more easily. God bless His fruits that develop in you. Shalom
Next we consider prayer 29.
