Q8: Welcome to prayer training by Jesus.. Understand the childlike foundations first:-
The fourth prayer seems to have only one purpose, and one seed promise: All English translations do not translate one word properly... "yachad" Strong's 3162. Here is the verse with the Seed promise:- Ps 4:8 I will both (yachad) lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. (KJV)
Now according to Jeff Benner, we have a problem for the English translation:-
The problem is we have two very similar Hebrew words translated with the same English word.
This is like the study on "faith", which had over four different Hebrew words all translated into English with the same word.
All of these Hebrew words have the same English meaning, we assume to be "Faith", but really is closer to the English word "Support".
It looks like the Hebrew words " Strong's 259", and "Strong's 3162" do not have different English words for them:-
And as Jeff Benner shows:-
Echad is the "Strong outside door".
Yachad is the "Active outside door".
Also note the Hebrew word spellings have verb and noun forms for both words, and these must have similar meanings, but differences in there functional actions.
So the Author would translate these words as:
For the common man, and those of us growing as children, this makes understanding the original words of Scripture very difficult.
So we do the best we can, and Jesus will respect our light we receive. It is important we live by the light we receive.
One can see why a "unit" looks like "one", for in our minds both of these concepts are the same.
There is another problem with this verse, with another Hebrew word:
Ps 4:8 I will both (yachad) lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only (badad) makest me dwell in safety. (KJV)
All translators seem to see "badad" as a word meaning alone.
The pictograph reads "Through the home door doors", and this seems to suggest if one travels in a home of many doors, while we belong to a family home, we become isolated as we move through the doors, and become "temporarily on our own".
Jeff Benner says this well, saying "something separated from the whole".
One gets the impression, when we come to GOD, we become united as a unit.
Or we become a straight line, and this needs two points only to make such a straight relationship happen.
So what David is praying about is this:
Ps 4:8 I am a unit , lay me down in "wholeness of peace", and sleep: for thou, O LORD alone, makest me dwell in safety. (Ancient Hebrew)
Or for a nicer English...
Prayer 4:8 Our relationship is unified, lay me down in "wholeness of peace", when I sleep: for thou, O LORD alone, makest me dwell in safety. (Ancient Hebrew)
Our Father in heaven, thank you for unity in Jesus,
thank you for making me have relationship with Him,
may we be unified of character, may we have His peace,
we support this word promise of Jesus. Amen
Notice the first four prayers so far:
(1) A tree is a simile of salvation in Jesus.
(2) Our Father has decreed, today every day we become a "son" begotten via Jesus.
(3) Jesus saves us from mocking people.
(4) Our righteousness is straightened only by relationship in Jesus.
There is a growing theme in the prayers found in Scripture, always based on Jesus, in a relationship with Him.
Ps 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD (Father-YHWH) hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day (yom) have I begotten thee.
Notice the Hebrew word "yom" means every day Jesus comes to the redeemed as one "male-borned".
Let's explore this decree a little more..
Ps 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
(KJV)
Fuzzy translation, not consistent...
Ps 21:4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. (KJV)
Here the KJV is correct, so the other prayer line should read:-
Ps 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for a length of days. (Ancient Hebrew)
Is this where Paul said "I die daily" comes from? Was He supporting a prayer promise of Jesus? Seems so.
Notice the term "yom" or "day" always refers to the present day of time, and to reference days going forward, or days going back, other words have to be used to suggest this.
If we "die daily" in Jesus, how are we "born daily" in Jesus? This is what the Father's decree seems to reference, as well as a prophecy Jesus adding humanity to Himself during incarnation.
Ps 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
This prayer verse offers a clue, we are engineered daily by Jesus, via the Holy Spirit.
One need to study the Hebrew word "yalad" for more gems about Jesus and our "daily birth" in Him.
Ps 7:14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity (aven), and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth (yalad) falsehood. (KJV)
Here the word "born" is used in the context to "born forth propensities, or epi-genetic dysfunctional habits that cause missing.
For more see "aven" or propensities.
Ps 90:2 Before the mountains (har) were brought forth (yalad) , or ever thou hadst formed the earth (erets) and the world (tebel), even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God (el).
This is a prayer of Moses, and used many poetry pictures, the "hill" or "Person's Head" rises, and is a word related to pregnancy, the rising hill of a women's belly.
The two Hebrew words "erets" and "tebel", reference the entire globe, before the creation of all things, the Adonay Jesus was our Strong Authority (el) is what Moses is praying about.
The poetry pictures of "born" is interesting. Be ever amazed by the poetry of Scripture, the simile pictures of GOD, and the songs in the Hebrew words. Scripture is so much fun, full of joy,
and amazing as well as complex. It reminds me of another prayer:-
Ps 131:1 A prayer of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
When must read Jesus words with the trust of a little child. Support Jesus with His words in prayer, so Jesus will support you back.
Experience the circuit circles of love. Speak and it will flow to you. Support and you will be supported. Amen
