reference Father and Lord Jesus in OT?

(271) Da 10:16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips : then I opened my mouth , and spake , and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord (adown) , by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength .

.. O my lord (adown) , by the vision..

Daniel is calling an angel "my Lord"..

(272) Da 10:17 For how can the servant of this my lord (adown) talk with this my lord (adown) ? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.

(273) Da 10:19 And said , O man greatly beloved , fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong , yea, be strong . And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened , and said , Let my lord (adown) speak ; for thou hast strengthened me.

Daniel in vision is calling the angel my Lord...

(275) Ho 12:14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly : therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord (adown) return unto him.

There seems to be two heavenly Beings referenced here...the concept of "and" does not mean this in Hebrew I think? But notice the verse...

  • and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD (Father YHWH), and their substance unto the Lord (adown - Lord Jesus) of the whole earth.

    Of course one could say YHWH is speaking of Himself twice, but what is more likely is the Hebrew word 'adown' is a reference to 'Lord Jesus'.

    Could this be a reference to the Father and the Lord Jesus in OT?

    (278) Zep 1:9 In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold , which fill their masters (adown) ' houses with violence and deceit .

    .. which fill their Lord's (adown) ' houses..

    (279) Zec 1:9 Then said I, O my lord (adown) , what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.

    .. O my lord (adown) , what ..

    (280) Zec 4:4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying , What are these, my lord (adown) ?

    Again it is respectful to reference a heavenly visitor as 'my Lord'.
