.. through the counsel of baalim .. Here is a dirty trick of Baalim to suggest to his friendly King Balak, a way to trip up the Israelites to sin. Invite them over for a Moabite party ! The men were dazzled by lustful sexual indulgences, songs, dance and fun. Thus one of the factors of Baal religion is it's indulgence practices all in the Name of Religion ! So one can have sex in Satan's church all in the Name of holy religion. It's called Baal worship. The Bible even calls these priests "holy" and they were special priests and priestesses all for sexual indulgence while at church worshipping the "home secure authority". All that effort comes to nothing in the sight of GOD.

( 50 ) De 23:4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way , when ye came forth out of Egypt ; and because they hired against thee Balaam "Bil`am" the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia , to curse thee.
