Psalm 30, broken relationship healing, ongoing living, Christ a medium, sin-offering, confusion, self

Q34: Welcome to prayer training by Jesus..

Understand the childlike foundations first:-

  • (1) How to support Jesus
  • (2) Former rains in Jesus
  • (3) Latter rains in Jesus

    (4) Deeper prayer training.

  • Consider prayer 30:-

This is perhaps the first prayer so far that supports words seen before:-

Ps 30:2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. (KJV)

Ps 30:2 O LORD my (elohiym) "Family Power", I cried unto thee, and thou hast broken-relationship-healed me.(Ancient Hebrew)

The Hebrew word "RaPA" has been seen before, and studied in Prayer 6.

Our Father in heaven, thank you for Jesus, Jesus is our broken relationship Healer, Heal our broken relationship, heal us Lord; we support Jesus words. Amen

Ps 30:3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive (chayah) "ongoing living", that I should not go down to the pit. (KJV)

This next verse confirms the Author's choice for "RaPA" as "broken-relationship-healed". Notice David prays for his "soul" to be brought up from "shaowl", that place where GOD does not exist, some unknown place called "hell".

He prays that GOD has kept his soul living daily with ongoing living, which is what the Hebrew word "chayah" means. This word is associated with the Holy Spirt, who is the mother of all living, who empowers us with the ongoing breath of salvation that comes from Jesus, a power of salvation from the Father.

Ge 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve (chayah) "ongoing living" ; because she was the mother of all living.

Adam calls his wife "chayah", a simile of the Holy Spirit as a functional descriptor.

Ro 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (chayah) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (KJV)

Notice the way the Holy Spirit empowers the breath of salvation in us, as "chayah", salvation from the Father and the Son.

In other words, David wants his broken-relationship-healed with a renewed process of living, and does not want his broken-relationship to end with death. David is praying for the breath of salvation that lifts our soul from the pit of non-existence.

Ps 30:9 What profit(betsa) "profit" is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth (emeth) "support"?

This prayer line refers to money profit or mammon. It is a line used by Jesus:

Mr 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (KJV)

See studies of "profit" or "mammon".

This is contrasted with the concept of faith, as truth, also meaning "supporting God".

In other words, we support God and gain living forever, or we use our money foolishly and go down to the grave forever. Your choice.

Now let's continue with our Hebrew English translator, with more, on how to pray:-

Christ has become the medium of prayer between man and God. He has also become the medium of blessing between God and man. He has united divinity with humanity. Men are to cooperate with Him for the salvation of their own souls, and then make earnest, persevering efforts to save those who are ready to die.(Testimonies for the Church 8:178.) Pr 66.2

Does this mean we have two mediums? or two aspects of media, Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Or is the SOP saying Jesus is the way of salvation, the term "Medium" here refers to the agency of the Holy Spirit? I don't know. Even the SOP can be difficult to understand too. We add passages like this for readers, to show you not all things are easily understood.

How when we pray, we can be confident Jesus hears our prayers and talks to us, via the conscience, via the Holy Spirit.

For this next passage, the Author swaps "faith" for "support":-

But many have not a living support. This is why they do not see more of the power of God. Their weakness is the result of their unbelief or "lack of support". They have more support in their own working than in the working of God for them. They take themselves into their own keeping. They plan and devise, but pray little, and have little real trust in God. They think they have support, but it is only the impulse of the moment. Failing to realize their own need, or God's willingness to give, they do not persevere in keeping their requests before the Lord. Pr 71.2

The Author experienced this last week end. Our pride and mistrust is so easily done, that we fail to really support Jesus.

My wife asked me to go into the early dawn, still quite dark, to retrieve her glasses that fell into the long grass. We had lots of rain that week, and on the Friday afternoon, arriving to our home, I mowed as much lawn as I could before the Sabbath. I was thinking of snakes and my wife, and tried to mow the more important areas of the yard. But after finishing my devotional worship with GOD, I didn't get up immediately to do her service, she went out into the dark and reached down to get her glasses from the long grass. After a while later, she realized her wrist had two marks on it, about 14mm apart, bleeding a little, and while not feeling anything, thought a brown snake had bit her wrist. So she wrapped her arm in a compression bandage and I took her to the Hospital. The process would take overnight it seems, so relunctantly I drove home myself, stressed and very tired. I ate for the first time that day and felt the crackers pushing hard into my mouth. Went to bed early around dusk. I awoke at 1:30 am and realized this was too early for me. But suddenly I realized I had lost my dentures. I looked everywhere and could not find them. So I prayed and went back to bed. Waking up at 5 am, I did some worship and later while shaving heard a voice via the conscience say:

    "..check the car.."

I thought to myself, why would they be in the car? They could be anywhere. How silly I would look at work, I thought.

So I checked the car, and found nothing. As I leaned over to pull the bonnet clip, I looked sideways and saw my dentures hidden in the cleft of the drivers seat. A small pink thing. Imagine my joy! I kneeled and prayed thanks for GOD helping me find my dentures.

But this is really about my small trust in the voice of the conscience. We have become as humans on earth, to think we are all alone, and that GOD does not talk audibly via our conscience. Even after all the training, and fasting and prayer, one still cannot trust as simply as a five year old child does.

My wife came home, the bite was not with venom, as most bites are apparently. She got lucky, as the man who also saw a snake bit him, also did not receive venom.

We all need a "living support" in GOD. Expect the communication of GOD talking to you to be as real and a friend on earth talking to you. Listen to the still small voice of the conscience. How happy we are to have "living support". God is not dead. He's alive. And He talks to us every moment of the day.

" Prayer and faith "or support" will do wonderful things. The Word must be our weapon of warfare. Miracles can be wrought through the Word; for it is profitable for all things.(Evangelism, 489.) Pr 53.4

Statements like this are plain to read, regarding support or faith. Why has no Pastor preached how to get faith? How to Support God using His Word? Have we forgotten to study the Scriptures carefully?

Notice the SOP says correctly miracles will come through the Word. This is how we get faith, by supporting Jesus using His Words.

Where does Scripture say this in the theme of salvation?

Scroll of Jesus: 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves "fruit" of our lips.

Notice the Scripture Steps to Jesus speak of this process in child like words.

The New Testament, does not have Salvational Steps to Jesus listed in chronological order, but Paul does add to this Old Testament salvational theme:

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith "support"; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God "Elohiym"..

Paul speaks that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of Support. We have salvation only if we Support Jesus' Words Personified with Promised Power in them.

Some ask Why does Jesus have to save us everyday?

Heb 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin (chataah). (KJV)

Now some people trust implicitly their human translators so much they say, the gospel as it was presented hundreds of years ago is without fault. It was perfect and true. Perhaps. God judges us by the light we receive. Doesn't it say in the end of time "knowledge shall increase" ? This is not so much about knowledge of technology, but knowledge of how to get more of Jesus flowing in our lives.

The Greek word "hamartia" is translated from "chataah" which means "sin-offering", the process of confessing our sins and placing them on our sin-bearer, Jesus. When Jesus took up your sin-offering for your sinning, His human body shed blood or life for life, so His humanity died so your humanity might live. What an eternal sacrifice Jesus made for us.

Paul is saying we have not strived against our sin-offering to the point of shedding blood, but our Saviour has done this for us. So likewise out of respect we need to understand the pain and discipline that "sin-offering" caused us and Jesus. And because in relationship we do more missing daily, our "sin-offering" is a continual offering to Jesus.

Ro 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

  • 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin (chataah) "sin-offering" that dwelleth in me.

Paul is speaking of a battle with his flesh nature that dies with it's sin-offering in Jesus, but somehow keeps raising it's ugly head, and our hopping over to use our fleshy Baal master powers of self, we do what we don't want to do. There are many things in Paul's writings hard to understand. So this is a little sketch of ideas. How prayer life affects us, I don't know.

It is best to stick to Scripture we can read more simply, and understand more with child like faith.

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

  • 9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.

Some say the New Testament is the only doctrine Christian churches follow? How can that be in these verses here? Which Scriptures did Jesus and Paul have in their day? The New Testament right ? No The only Scriptures in their day was the Old Testament. Afterall Jesus is the same in old times and in new times. His teachings would be the same. Yeah but the Old Teachings are in Hebrew and the New Teachings are in Greek? Well that's confusion for you. Why was it ordained in this way ?

Mt 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

  • 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
  • 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
  • 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
  • 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

When Universal followers of Jesus spoke against the Great Flood, what did Elohiym do? They made the Universal language of Hebrew into different sounds, confusing the language of Hebrew.

There is some proof that Ancient Hebrew pictographs and Ancient Chinese pictographs might have similar origins.

When the Jewish followers, rebelled against Elohiym as a whole, the nation was captured by Babylon, a city meaning confusion, and so the square script became the modern Hebrew script replacing the Ancient Hebrew script, adding to the confusion.

Later on, the New Testament Jews hated Jesus representing Elohiym in their day, and so Paul who was both a Hebrew and Greek speaking Jew (very rare for a Jew to speak both languages) translated the Hebrew gospel for Hebrews, into a Greek gospel for Jewish Gentiles. Thus we have even more confusion. But at least some were saved, plucked as a babe from the fire.

So how would Jesus straighten out all this confusion? If you look into the modern Jewish Hebrew, the older Ancient Hebrew is carefully preserved inside the letters. And the LXX translation also allows us to bridge the Greek NT to a Hebrew NT. This allows us to have the same thoughts Paul and Jesus had when they wrote and lived in their time.

But some say, what does it matter? I am judged by the light I know, so why can't I be saved as a babe, with child like faith, without all the need to learn deep stuff. And grow into some mature miracle man of GOD?

That's a fair question, not easily answered. There are two kinds of babe Christians as virgins waiting for Jesus to come and rescue them from earth. Both babes were sleeping. When the end of time shout comes, suddenly both kinds of babes wake up, but the foolish babes in Christ have their lights go out. Why is this? The only natural answer to this question is "growth". Some babes in Jesus fail to "grow" more than other babes.

Another question is: "how much growing does a follower of Jesus have to do to be saved"?

There is another parable of growing, some received five measures of growing ability, others received two measures of growing ability and one received a single measure of growing in Jesus. Notice the problem with the babe who received the single but generous measure of growing from the Lord Jesus:

{paraphased by Author} Mt 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his "lord's promise of growing more in His Lord".

The babe did not want to grow even slightly in the Lord Jesus, but was happy to remain as a babe that did not grow further in Jesus.

{paraphased by Author} Mt 25:24 Then he which had received the one "measure of growing in the Lord" came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard "Saviour", reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

  • 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy "promised growing more in the Lord" in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

The babe was afraid to grow more in Jesus, afraid to listen to Jesus, afraid to obey lest Jesus expect more of him. How many of us do not want a GOD talking audibly to us via the Holy Spirit, via our conscience, the agency in which Divinity speaks to mankind? We are afraid..

Jesus answer to babes who feel afraid, is to place God's measure of grace over you into the hands of others, let them work for you. This means give your offerings of money and time so others do the work for you. That's the least a babe who is afraid can do and still be saved by Jesus.

The important thing for all us babes is to be found growing in Jesus. But for those who have courage to grow more and more in Jesus, Scripture says:

" blessed are your eyes, for they see", if we go digging for truth, and search things out using child like support, but we should keep things simple.

Reading a Greek and Hebrew Bible is not less confusion, it's more confusion.

Reading an English translation is also more confusion, because we are trusting human doctrines and traditions of men.

Reading everything in Hebrew is not hard to do, but it takes time. If we have to think about Jesus and talk to Jesus all the minutes of the day throughout our lives, we have plenty of time. It's an excuse to make less time for Jesus and more time for self. Some want to read Salvation rapidly and than do their own thing with self.

But actually you have to spend all your time talking and searching for Jesus' words, making sure you understand the power hidden in Jesus' words. So time is not an issue.

Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

What is a sacrifice of praise continually? It's a saying Paul makes concerning the Salvation Steps to Jesus, we do continually, morning and evening before Jesus. The sacrifice is of time, of will, of body, to read His words, pray those words to Jesus, and do those words seeking the power hoped for that promises the flow of Jesus, everyday continually. And all this is a sacrifice of praising Jesus for this great service of saving us. We talk and walk in Jesus and Jesus walks and talks with us. It's called a Sacrifice of Praise. It's also a fruit of Jesus' character on our lips, giving thanks for all things flowing through Him.

Paul adds to the Old Testmanent Salvational Steps to Jesus with one more thought:

Heb 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.(KJV)

Can't see past the fuzzy translation?

Heb 13:16 But well doing relationship forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.(Ancient Hebrew)

Why does Paul add "well doing relationship" with such sacrifices Elohiym is pleased? Because if you plan to read about Jesus, pray to Jesus, and listen to Jesus talk to you via the conscience of the Holy Spirit, that support is fine and dandy, but such a sacrifice of praise is really selfish unless it does things with Jesus' power. You see love is a community process. Love is family. So "well doing relationship" is all about you and Jesus in a family of holiness going about over the earth doing His redemption in others.

Jas 2:17 Even so faith "support" , if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

The very word "support" implies you support Jesus experiencing His power flow through you. They are His works flowiing through you. If nothing flows through you, you are an empty storm.

Ex 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God as an empty-storm; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name as an empty-storm. (Ancient Hebrew)

So many followers of Jesus pray, and nothing happens, no flow flows. We are breaking this directive.

Are we beginning to catch what prayer and fasting is all about? We have to be catalysts for showers of blessings on others. That's the promised showers of Jesus. That's what the prayer and fasting training is for.

Catalysts do not use their own power, nor give glory to themselves, they are not consumed in reactions either. They are organic similes of the Holy Spirit, where we allow "Jesus energy" to flow through us, and in us, without consuming us. We become a medium through which the agencies of God work redemption. Shalom

When self dies, there will be awakened an intense desire for the salvation of others,a desire which will lead to persevering efforts to do good. There will be a sowing beside all waters; and earnest supplication, importunate prayers, will enter heaven in behalf of perishing souls.(Gospel Workers, 470). Pr 40.4

When our hopping process to self, finally dies, and we remain wholly talking to Jesus via the Holy Spirit of our conscience, we finally become mature followers of Jesus:

Re 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. (KJV)

This the ultimate experience of personal salvation in Jesus. Shalom

The Author suspects this is a time when our self dies, our hopping over to use our Baal master powers of self ends, and we entirely and continually only talk to Jesus, walk in Jesus and allow Jesus power to flow through us all the time. Wow... is this possible? Why not? You would become a little simile of Jesus on earth, not a "genetic clone of Jesus" just as Eve was not a "genetic clone" of Adam. Eve had a different way of loving to Adam, even though they were genetically similar. Likewise all the Christians on earth, a special 144,000 of them, whatever that number means, will be a special group of matured Christians who have completely connected with Jesus continually. Shalom

    Next we consider prayer 31.
