Psalm 31, Jesus functions as both rocks of salvation, poetry parallels, secret nets of Satan, Jesus net of salvation, David's example of prayer

Q35: Welcome to prayer training by Jesus..

Understand the childlike foundations first:-

  • (1) How to support Jesus
  • (2) Former rains in Jesus
  • (3) Latter rains in Jesus

    (4) Deeper prayer training.

  • Consider prayer 31:-

A quick look at prayer 31 promises a complex and exciting study:

Ps 31:2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

  • 3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. (KJV)

Let's arrange this as a poetry parallel:

Ps 31:2.. be thou my strong rock (tsuwr) "Father rock" , for an house of defence to save me.

  • 3 For thou art my rock (cela) "Jesus rock" and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. (KJV)

As incredible as this prayer is from David, it is a poetry parallel saying the Saviour is a "Father rock" and a "Jesus rock". The word "fortress or defence" is the same Hebrew word for both Divine Beings.

Now if your a Jew you would say YHWH is both the Saviour cela rock and the Foundation tsuwr rock, the same YHWH who came down to die for mankind. How can this be in the NT teachings? OT Jews ignore the NT teachings.

So if Jesus is a real Son of a real Father in heaven, we have here in the OT times, a Saviour who saves, expressed as a simile of the Father Rock and the Jesus Rock.

This is the same Hebrew idea where Jesus said my Father and I are one (John 10:30).

It is a strange thing to equate a Saviour as a Being, as the Father as a Being and the Son as a Being. Jesus is functionally a simile for the actions of His Father and the Son.

Does our Hebrew English Translator back up the same idea, for this is, as a radical idea?

    (3) A fantastic declaration..

In Isaiah's prophecy, Christ is declared to be both a sure foundation and a stone of stumbling. The apostle Peter, writing by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, clearly shows to whom Christ is a foundation stone, and to whom a rock of offense:

For more see Desire of Ages

Those scholars who say poetry parallels are different ways of saying the same thing, need to watch these definitions. Poetry is not like this. For example

    Ps 119:105 Thy word

  • is a lamp unto my feet,
  • and a light unto my path.(KJV)

So the word is both a lamp and a light?

    Pr 6:23

  • For the commandment is a lamp;
  • and the law is light;
  • and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Here are three poetry parallels.. Here it says commandents and teachings (law) are both light and lamp.

So the word is both the teachings and the commandents, how many Christians see the entire OT and NT teachings as commandments?

    Pr 1:8 My son,

  • hear the instruction of thy father,
  • and forsake not the law(teachings) of thy mother:

Here are two poetry parallels .. So the hearing of the word, is the same as hearing from father or / and mother. But scholars who "equate parallels" remove the distinctions of "father and mother", saying they are the same Being ..

That's not how poetry parallels work, they are similes... similiar but not exactly the same... Thus, one parent can be a simile of another parent, but they are not the same Being.

So yes the WORDS in Scripture are the similes of the Father Lamp, but also as Jesus Light, such teachings flow from the Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother, whatever those terms mean. We know the Holy Spirit brings us the teachings of the Father, aslo expressed as light by the Son, but we do not often see the Holy Spirit expressing femaleness-love .

So some might say, what does it matter how love comes to us as long as we get love ?

    Fair enough

But if you visit a church, you get lots of maleness-love, the love that protects, provides and shelters you from the elements of the world. Such maleness-love feeds you also with the word. But love in Hebrew comes into two functional actions. There is also femaleness-love or what SOP calls brotherly love. Hence at Church we should also experience nurture, and community and an ability to respond to the love provided, a way for our Feeders feeding us to come to us in relationship as one who individually visits us. This is what a relationship is, one hand to another hand. Relationshp is not a herd principle. When was the last time your Pastor or Feeder actually came personally to feed you, one on one?

    Therefore prayer 31 is profound:

Jesus is functionally acting for both the Father and the Son.

Our Father in heaven, thank you for Jesus, your Son, who functionally acts as Father and a Son for us, bringing us all of heaven's character of love in their season, we support Jesus words. Amen

Ps 31:4 Pull me out of the net (resheth) "net" that they have laid privily (taman) "secretly" for me: for thou art my strength.

What a Prayer Promise. Lord pull me out of the secret nets mankind traps me in.

What secret nets? Evolution fables, God as a fable, Vaccine fables, safe drinking water fables, Twin tower collapse by terrorist fables, moon landing fables, drugs that cure your diseases fables, genetically modified food is good for you fables, chemical poisoning of the sky helping climate change fables, governments help you fables, etc, etc.

This theme is repeated over in over in previous prayers, not noticed by the Author before, so David's prayers do show support of words said before.

The "net" is an important theme in Scripture. Both Jesus and Satan have "nets".

Resheth, Strong's 7568. Pictographs read, "The head pressed (towards an) important mark".

The head is a picture of you as a head, or person of authority. The front teeth picture your head cut or pressed. The cutting might refer to your head separated from something, or pressed by a stronger power. The cross picture is a picture of an important mark.

Jesus has a net. Thus Jesus takes your head and presses it towards His important mark, the cross, where Jesus safety net catches you in His salvation.

Satan has a net. Thus Satan takes your head and crushes and cuts it from God, pushing your head towards His secret nets that capture you, in a confusion of Satanic nets. These nets are very important to Satan and often come as Strong Authorities, ie: as Government powers that press on your head.

Does the reader catch how Ancient Hebrew pictographs help us with meanings of Scripture words?

Here is a picture of the Hebrew word. The fishing net of Jesus presses the head of the fishes (similes of men saved) towards the important mark, the cross show in red in the picture.

On the other hand Satanic nets such luxury foods, or cars, or homes, or iPads capture you in a state of confusion. Satanic controlled Strong Authorities, such as Government Agencies remove your freedoms and press your head towards their important mark: One world Government, where Satan is king over the entire earth, rather than Jesus.

Notice some Scripture using this word:-

Ex 27:4 And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.

The first use of this word, is for the altar of sacrifice, a net is placed under the sacrifice to hold it up.

Job 18:8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

Here is the oldest use of "net", something we create as we walk using our human powers of self. Satan sets snares to capture in our pet sins.

Ps 9:15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

David prays this concept as well. The wicked are trapped in their own net of sin, taking them down to the pit of non-existence.

Ps 25:15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

My eyes are continually upon my Jesus, for He plucks me out of Satan's secret nets of confusion.

Ps 31:4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid "secretly" for me: for thou art my strength.

  • 5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit "character as administrated by the Holy Spirit": thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth (emeth) "support".

When Jesus was on the Cross, Satanic secret nets tried to ensnare Jesus into sinning, but Jesus supported His Father by praying for the Holy Spirit to administrate His character when it is given up.

    Where does Scripture say this?

Ec 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

  • Ec 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

The Holy Spirit which lives inside all living things as an administrator of the breath of life, records man's character or spirit especially, and this record returns with the Holy Spirit to the Family of God who engineered the life in the man, has now died. Some say there is an immortal spirit in man, and when we die this immortal spirit lives on. Well it does live on, but it's not you, it's the Holy Spirit. If the immortal spirit was a part of you, than Jesus did not truly die. For we have to define death as the separation of Elohiym powers, the broken connection of love. This happened to Jesus, and why He prays to His Father, to take His character carefully, so the Holy Spirit leaves Jesus, the Father leaves Jesus, and thus while Jesus lays in the tomb unable to decay because He is also a member of Elohiym, He does experience the second death, where the Elohiym powers of love are broken and not connected. Matter experiencing this condition would cease to exist.

Eze 32:3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net.

The Adonay Lord Jesus spreads His net of salvation over His people.

The rest of David's prayer is more or less like a person praying to GOD.

  • Prayer 31:4 Let me go from the net
  • they set secretly for me:
  • You are my strength,
  • :5 In Your hands I committ my spirit:
  • O Lord God of Support.
  • :9 Have mercy upon me O Lord:
  • :10 My life is spent with grief,
  • :11 I am a reproach to my enemies,
  • :12 I am forgotten as a dead heart,
  • :13 I hear the slander of many,
  • :14 I trust in thee O Lord,
  • :23 O maleness-love the Lord,
  • The Lord preserveth the suppportive

Such is this example of David praying to the Lord Adonay Jesus as a friend to a friend.

God bless our prayers of support. Shalom

    Next we consider prayer 32.
