| Q:6 The Steps of Christ Show 'Steps To Christ' is inspired. Chapter 6: Faith and Acceptance Ellen p. 49" As your conscience has been quickened by the Holy Spirit, you have seen something of the evil of sin, of its power, its guilt, its woe; and you look upon it with abhorrence. You feel that sin has separated you from God, that you are in bondage to the power of evil. The more you struggle to escape, the more you realize your helplessness. Your motives are impure; your heart is unclean. You see that your life has been filled with selfishness and sin. You long to be forgiven, to be cleansed, to be set free. Harmony with God, likeness to Him�what can you do to obtain it? It is peace that you need�Heaven�s forgiveness and peace and love in the soul. Money cannot buy it, intellect cannot procure it, wisdom cannot attain to it; you can never hope, by your own efforts, to secure it. But God offers it to you as a gift, �without money and without price.� Isaiah 55:1. It is yours if you will but reach out your hand and grasp it. The Lord says, �Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.� Isaiah 1:18. �A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you.� Ezekiel 36:26. You have confessed your sins, and in heart put them away. You have resolved to give yourself to God. Now go to Him, and ask that He will wash away your sins and give you a new heart. Then believe that He does this because He has promised. This is the lesson [50] which Jesus taught while He was on earth, that the gift which God promises us, we must believe we do receive, and it is ours. Jesus healed the people of their diseases when they had faith in His power; He helped them in the things which they could see, thus inspiring them with confidence in Him concerning things which they could not see�leading them to believe in His power to forgive sins. There are many beautiful things written here in the Ellen White version of Steps to Christ. The Author likes the way "faith" is something we cannot see, so Jesus gives them miracles of His beauty, so they can see, thus giving them confidence in the things they can't see, such as forgiveness of sins, through Jesus as our sin-offering. We need the peace of Jesus in us as a relationship made renewed daily by the creative function of the Holy Spirit causing the breath of salvation that flows from Jesus to make us acceptable to our Father in heaven. Thus the heavenly Divine Family makes us complete in love on a grand scale. Ellen p. 49" So also John the evangelist says, speaking of the miracles of Christ, �These are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.� John 20:31. Written in a Hebrew perspective, we can rewrite Ellen Whites comments:- "So also John the evangelist says, speaking of the miracles of Christ, �These are written, that ye might support that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that supporting ye might have life through His name.� John 20:31. The reason why the fuzzy translation is left uncorrected is to not violate a child like confidence in Scripture. Ellen White takes the Scriptures as they read, for in this condition they contain the words of life, and the Holy Spirit is our tutor of the Scriptures, so we need not err. In other places Ellen White shows the Hebrew behind the Scriptures, so careful readers studying her messages will indeed find the complete truth. Ellen p. 50" From the simple Bible account of how Jesus healed the sick, we may learn something about how to believe in Him for the forgiveness of sins. Let us turn to the story of the paralytic at Bethesda. The poor su fferer was helpless; he had not used his limbs for thirty-eight years. Yet Jesus bade him, �Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.� The sick man might have said, �Lord, if Thou wilt make me whole, I will obey Thy word.� But, no, he believed Christ�s word, believed that he was made whole, and he made the effort at once; he willed to walk, and he did walk. He acted on the word of Christ, and God gave the power. He was made whole. Notice Ellen White is speaking about how "support" or "faith" works. The paralytic had to support Jesus by rising up and walking. The man had to sow Jesus words into his mind, your sins are forgiven, rise up and walk. Notice how faith or support works. Yashua 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. 3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. What a fantastic Scripture also following the science of salvation with the theme of Faith and Acceptance, but as in Hebrew with fewer words they are broad in their themes. Come let us return in repentance to the Divine Family Home in Heaven, unto the YWHW-Jesus who can save us, and heal us, for though we have been smitten by GOD since we are missing out on GOD's power in all its fullest glory, Jesus promises to bind us up, and make us whole. After two days Jesus with make spiritual revival happen to us, on the third day Jesus will rise us up. We will live in His sight, as we support Jesus. This is a Prayer Promised Power, how quickly any Seed sown from Jesus, germinates and grows making miracles in your life. Than we shall have "intimacy in relationship" with Jesus, Jesus will grant us his going forth in the former rains and latter rains of His teachings, the Old Testament of Jesus and the New Testament of Jesus, unto the earth. Written in beautiful poetry the same science of salvation flows from Hosea's version of 'Steps to Christ'. Ellen p. 50" In like manner you are a sinner. You cannot atone for your past sins; you cannot change your heart and make yourself holy. But God promises to do all this for you through Christ. You believe that promise. You confess your sins and give yourself to God. You will to serve Him. Just as surely as you do this, God will fulfill His word to you. If you believe the promise,�believe that you are forgiven and cleansed,�God supplies the fact; you are made whole, just as Christ gave the paralytic power to walk when the man believed that he was healed. It is so if you believe it. Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, �I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.� Jesus says, �What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.� Mark 11:24. There is a condition to this promise�that we pray according to the will of God. But it is the will of God to cleanse us from sin, to make us His children, and to enable us to live a holy life. So we may ask for these blessings, and believe that we receive them, and thank God that we have received them. It is our privilege to go to Jesus and be cleansed, and to stand before the law without shame or remorse. �There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.� Romans 8:1. Henceforth you are not your own; you are bought with a price. Beautiful words written by Ellen White showing us the science of salvation regarding how the sinner is accepted by faith in Jesus. We cannot change our heart by doing good works, by following the teachings using our own human powers of effort. Yashua Ho 6:4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. 5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. How many of us like in the former days as written in the 'Steps to Christ' by Hosea, we find ourselves doing good in our human efforts of power, praying words of forgiveness, doing all the good things Jesus requires in our human powers of effort, that mean nothing to GOD.`God requires mercy and love, not human doings. How did Jesus slay them by the words of His mouth, because they wanted salvation based on human doings? Notice the teachings required circumcision: Ex 4:26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision. Zipporah circumcises her baby son because Moses neglected to do it, disobeying a teaching of Jesus. What was the teaching about? De 30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. Jer 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Can any human do circumcision of the heart and still live? Can humans rearrange the trillions of coded messages inside our DNA that requires cutting away? Can humans remove the epi-genetic propensities that cause us to develop "Self" and "Baal master powers of human effort that mean nothing to God"? Jesus in his former teachings gave followers of Jesus a taste of what the science of salvation involves, things impossible for humans to do, but Jews made proud effort to live by their doings, and so failed to be saved by GOD. Ellen p. 51" �There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.� Romans 8:1. Henceforth you are not your own; you are bought with a price. �Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold; ... but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.� 1 Peter 1:18, 19. Through this simple act of believing God, the Holy Spirit has begotten a new life in your heart. You are as a child born into the family of God, and He loves you as He loves His Son. Ellen White writes profound things here: You are bought with a price. Through the precious blood of Jesus. Through the simple act of supporting God, the Holy Spirit (through her functional act of re-creating you daily in the compassion-centre of the Holy Spirit) you are renewed daily, born into the Divine Family of Elohiym, as a biological child made renewed by the power of Jesus, our everlasting biological Father. We become sons and daughter of GOD, under the head of Jesus, who continues the love of GOD over the nations of humans and angels. For more see:- Yashua 6:8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity (aven) "propensities", and is polluted with blood. Some churches just promote human propensities, accepting humans with Baal master powers of self, and make religions out of our human effort. Such churches also promote "cheap grace", always asking God to forgive our shortcomings. What kind of religion is this? A lukewarm one. Or a false one. Re 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. What makes us lukewarm? Can the reader get the idea? The Lord's Ordinance is a feast that continues in the latter rain teachings of Jesus under new settings, based on the former teachings of the Hopping Over feast, wrongly termed "Passover Feast" the Hebrew meaning is "Hop Over Feast". Why do we hop over to God and hop over to Baal? Well, that is what a propensity is, a sinful bad habit that must be cut away, the circumcision of the heart, the removal of our Baal Master powers of human effort that mean nothing to God. 1Ki 18:21 � And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt (pacach) "hop" ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.(KJV) So we have to get rid of our crooked lines, hopping over from humans as master, to Jesus as our master. This is what the Lord's Ordinance Feast is all about, staying hopped over to Jesus all the time. The churches in Acts did this hopping feast weekly, it was important to achieve surrender of self, to have Jesus walk over and cut away "self". Both Ellen White's 'Steps to Christ' and Hosea's 'Steps to Christ' are written following the same science of salvation, only writing the theme from different views. Ellen p. 52" They do not take God at His word. It is the privilege of all who comply with the conditions to know for themselves that pardon is freely extended for every sin. Put away the suspicion that God�s promises are not meant for you. Support Jesus correctly, trust in His word to do as it says. Failure to do that; is not support, it is unbelief, it is doubting. Yashua 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. This is a "prayer power promise" of forgiveness on behalf of Jesus, who experienced the second death, defined as being separated from His heavenly parents before rising from that great unknown condition, and causing a great known revival in you. You are forgiven. The debt of eternal separation from GOD is paid. Jesus went there so you don't have to. Only divinity could go there, because the second death is defined as the separation of divine powers causing life, where even the atoms fall to the ground. It is a terrible striking about to fall on the wicked during the third coming of Jesus to the earth: Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague (maggephah) "striking" wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. Ellen p. 53-54" �I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.� Ezekiel 18:32. Satan is ready to steal away the blessed assurances of God. He desires to take every glimmer of hope and every ray of light from the soul; but you must not permit him to do this. Do not give ear to the tempter, but say, �Jesus has died that I might live. He loves me, and wills not that I should perish. I have a compassionate heavenly Father; and although I have abused His love, though the blessings He has given me have been squandered, I will arise, and go to my Father, and say, �I have sinned against heaven, and before Thee, and am no more worthy to be called Thy son: make me as one of Thy hired servants.�� The parable tells you how the wanderer will be received: �When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.� Luke 15:18-20. Yashua 6:11 Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.(KJV) The wandering church is is found in Jesus scroll of His salvation, O Church I will set a harvest of thee, when I return to the captivity of my people. What a "prayer promise of power" ! Does Jesus come to sinners, or a church of sinners, leaving us in a state of captivity? No! The promise is after two or three days a 'great known spiritual revival' begins, when Jesus comes as the former and later rains to the earth. Such is the Faith and Acceptance of our heavenly Father, sending his Son Jesus, to his captive people: Jesus 1:2 The beginning of the word of Jesus in heaven to Hosea, a simile of Jesus on earth. And the Father said to Jesus, His Son, Go, take unto thee a Church of whoredoms...(Ancient poetry paraphase) If you support Jesus, my friend, you can achieve straightness in Him. Hold His Hand by supporting His words. Ellen p. 54" But even this parable, tender and touching as it is, comes short of expressing the infinite compassion of the heavenly Father. The Lord declares by His prophet, �I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.� Jeremiah 31:3. While the sinner is yet far from the Father�s house, wasting his substance in a strange country, the Father�s heart is yearning over him; and every longing awakened in the soul to return to God is but the tender pleading of His Spirit, wooing, entreating, drawing the wanderer to his Father�s heart of love. The reader can't catch exciting messages here? Let's rewrite her message with the Hebrew behind the English:- Ellen p. 54" But even this parable, tender and touching as it is, comes short of expressing the infinite compassion of the heavenly Provider. The Lord declares by His prophet, �I have maleness-loved thee with an everlasting femaleness-love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.� Jeremiah 31:3. Does the reader catch the Divine Family and both providing love and responding love at work on sinners? Can you see in Ellen White's writings, the love of heavenly parents in action? Both a heavenly Provider and a heavenly Responder, helping sinners come to the complete operations of love. There are two Hebrew words of love for a reason. The Author terms them "maleness-love and femaleness-love" because there were personality differences set into each of the kinds created by the Creator during Creation. Thus there are two grand personalities of loving, the Provider of love, the Responder of love. The third kind of loving is that of the "child like love" or "collector love" who can personalities of both parents, as children growing up in the Lord. Such is the mysteries of love, ever deep and beyond comprehension. Ellen p. 54" He hates sin, but He loves the sinner, and He gave Himself in the person of Christ, that all who would might be saved and have eternal blessedness in the kingdom of glory. The Father hates missing because it causes us to miss out on the Father's glory, but He loves the sinner who supports Jesus because the straightness that is made from relationship is extremely valued by our heavenly Father. Ellen p. 54" He declares, �Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.� Isaiah 49:15. Notice the similes of poetry, the Father and the Mother, the child and the womb, such are the poetry similes of compassion from our eternal Provider. Ps 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. (KJV) Ps 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than Elohiym, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. (Ancient Hebrew) While light has no defined shape and has no mass, light caused all things on earth to have mass and defined shape. Go figure? Confusing? That's modern science for you. The square root of negative numbers multiplied by the square root of negative numbers also exists positively in our world, despite the fact, that the square root of negative numbers technically does not exist? Has the Author confused you? Modern science knows nothing of the mysteris of God. So in simple terms with child like faith accept that Elohiym chooses to have functions and personalties of loving similar to man, but more grand and more noble than man, as GOD is higher than our ways. Shalom Ellen p. 55" Look up, you that are doubting and trembling; for Jesus lives to make intercession for us. Thank God for the gift of His dear Son and pray that He may not have died for you in vain. The Spirit invites you today. Come with your whole heart to Jesus, and you may claim His blessing. O for the experience to receive the joy of the fearful-flow of Jesus in us. O for the joy of hearing the voice of Jesus speak to us via the conscience empowered by the Holy Spirit. Please get excited and begin a true walking with Jesus, minute by minute in communion with Him. Sowing His Words-personifed and basking in His powers that flow, do this daily with hope that things will do as He promised, Take with you words.. (Jesus 14:2). The paralytic is a point on his own helpless. 
Jesus comes near the man. Two points in space in the house. Jesus speaks. The man listens. Nothing can happen, or miracles can happen. Something called faith is required. Faith is not only belief. But also support. The paralytic man has to reach out his hand to the hand of Jesus, and in relationship they become a straight line. 
The power of faith connects as a straight line. Get the idea how support works? You do not own the straightness. Jesus alone does not make the straightness either. Only supporting relationship does.
When you support Jesus and His Word, your relationship is in it automatically, otherwise it's not support. Either we are hopeful to see the promised flow in us, or not. Until you take Jesus hand at His word, there is no straightness until "intimacy of relationship" happens."Take Him at His word" ... Listen to the still small voice of GOD and obey, walking in it's leading, following the directions of love, and where that grand love takes you. 
Some say the poetry similes are just that similes, not real. If the heavenly Elohiym came into existence as mathematical infinity, than what shape would that "Infinite Energy of Mind" choose to make itself known? Since "Energy" is a Personal Being with a mind, the grand "uncaused Cause"? Science does not know where or who Energy is, only that 'energy cannot be created or destroyed'. In order to allow dysfunction and function to exist simultaneously, with matter able to decide which existence they might want within a mind to choose, the "Divine Energy of Mind" exists as three Personalities of Loving, which collectively make Love complete, with specific functions of purpose. According to Einstein's famous equation "matter is related to energy", but "energy is not necessarily related to matter". The fact that the cosmic constant that drives matter into a functional and dysfunctional existence having 127 decimal places of accuracy, proves that Creation is carefully fined tuned for allowing matter to have minds that can choose to live under all of GOD's power or with lesser exposure to God's power. And since we perceive things darkly, one asks the question is the "Divine Energy of Mind", the "uncaused Cause" like us? Scripture says yes, though translators did not want to show us the Hebrew correctly.
