Steps To Christ, our need for Jesus

Q:2 The Steps of Christ

Chapter 2 The Sinners Need of Christ

Theme 1 : Man is fallen

Ellen:p 16, Man was originally endowed with noble powers and a well-balanced mind. .. But through disobedience, his powers were perverted, and selfishness took the place of love.

The sinner could not be happy in Gods presence; he would shrink from the companionship of holy beings. Could he be permitted to enter heaven, it would have no joy for him.

It is no arbitrary decree on the part of God that excludes the wicked from heaven; they are shut out by their own unfitness for its companionship. The glory of God would be to them a consuming fire. They would welcome destruction, that they might be hidden from the face of Him who died to redeem them.

Ellen White talks of how man was created noble, but after Adam's missing became trapped in fallen flesh, that no longer could tolerate GOD, on it's own. When we wander from GOD and miss that eternal burning of power, we develop "self", where love is no longer community generated but narcissitic like a resistor consuming God's love dysfunctionally. Such loving does not exist in God's functional world, but only in the world founded upon missing. We have missed so much, we have gotten used to babe amounts of power, thinking that is all we need.

If the dysfunctional one was permitted into heaven around the eternal generator of love, the burning would consume the resistor in intense heat. There would be no joy for anyone dysfunctional.

Thus we, in our dysfunctional state, have a great NEED of Jesus, who only can rescue us from a fallen state, missing God's glory daily.

The book of Jesus, writes our need of Jesus, as a simile of a wife and husband, married to each other, but the wife or sinner goes out, after other husbands.

Yashua 2:2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

Yashua 2:5 For their mother hath played the harlot:..

Theme 2: Fleshy mind

Ellen:p 19, "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one." "The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Job 14:4; Romans 8:7. Education, culture, the exercise of the will, human effort, all have their proper sphere, but here they are powerless. They may produce an outward correctness of behavior, but they cannot change the heart; they cannot purify the springs of life. There must be a power working from within, a new life from above, before men can be changed from sin to holiness. That power is Christ.

Yashua 2:8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

Ellen White writes about our fallen flesh, and the mind that speaks from this fallen flesh is against God. The power of the will is useless, in striving to do good. What we need is a new source of power from a different spring. That power and spring is Jesus.

In the book of Jesus, the Hebrew word for the fallen fleshy mind is "baal", which means "master". People in Old Testament times were masters of their own lives and worshipped idols made of clay in the image of Baal, which they saw as a simile of GOD.

Yashua 2:13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.

With our fleshy minds in our fallen nature, the will speaks and does as a "master does" doing thin gs using our "baal master powers of self", and this is the idol that came into being when Adam sinned and thus missing out on God's power, mankind developed it's own power called self. In this dysfunctional state exists even self-love, which does not exist in the true world of Elohiym, where true love is being provided and responded, collected and shared. Such love is relational and community orientated.

True happiness is getting others to respond to our providing, we do things for them so they respond in kind. This kind of loving only comes from GOD, when we support Jesus and His springs of powers that flow, when we sow His words-personified in our minds.

Yashua 2:17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

(28) Self abuse

The powers of "Baal Master Powers of Self" have to be removed from our soul, and replaced with Jesus powers, so we talk with our mouth joyfuly in His Name.

Ellen:p 19, The Saviour said, "Except a man be born from above," unless he shall receive a new heart, new desires, purposes, and motives, leading to a new life, "he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3, margin. The idea that it is necessary only to develop the good [19] that exists in man by nature, is a fatal deception. "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

The science of salvation speaks that man must be born again.

The only Scriptures that speak of the "born again" process is here:-

Ps 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Why doesn't Jesus create us with brand new flesh once we accept Him? That would destroy your character you have so far founded on your fallen flesh. And Jesus cannot create "character" or "spirit" or "wind" because it's a relationship term owned by no one person, but by you and GOD yoked together.

You are in the universe just a point, a speck of dust, living on borrowed energies from GOD, but essentially just a point in space. All alone. Pointless.

When Jesus as your Saviour, comes near to you, He comes as a larger point, a Divine Point, but essentially a point in God's Universe too.

However the moment you reach out to hold his Hand with your hand, a relationship is made with two points. And this relationship is a straight line. And who owns the straight lin e? Not you alone. Not Jesus alone.

But when you and Jesus are yoked together as one. This is what the translated word "righteousness" means: "straightness". And this is why GOD values straightness.

So Jesus cannot get the Holy Spirit to engineer a straight character in you all at once. Such character development takes time.

Sometimes our Baal master powers of self talk instead of us in relationship asking Jesus to empower a different talk, and so our relationship has crookedness in it. Eventually the hopping over process of "Self" and "Jesus" comes to an end, and we finally surrender our "baal master powers of self" a complete and mature death, we sow Jesus words of power daily in our minds, walking any way we please but allowing Jesus to direct our daily steps (Proverbs 16:9), and we become mature and complete in Jesus for days and days without any missing of His powers.

Here is a strange shape made by how many points? or Personal Beings?

Four heads.

Ge 2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

A river is a simile of the Holy Spirit channelling relationships that flow from Elohiym as a family. In Ephesians 3:15,16,

Elohiym is pictured as a family concept.

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

So how many heads finally make up the glory of Elohiym? Jesus is our everlasting father of a special race of Beings made a little lower than Elohiym (Psalms 8:5), who has added this created body unto His Divinity, and fathered an extension to the Divine Family in heaven, thus we, the redeemed; become adopted literal and spiritual sons and daughters of Elohiym.

Re 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Here are in the final end of controversary with Satan ended, Elohiym with four heads, the Father, Son and Shadday (Holy Spirit) are mentioned first with the Lamb, a new functional descriptor of Jesus, who died and rose again to allow an extension to the Divine Family of GOD.

So the science of salvation speaks that man must be born again. But when we are born again, and again and again every day.. where does Scripture say this?

Ps 44:22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed (yom) "daily" ; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. (Ancient Hebrew)

For more see We die daily.

"We declare unto you good tidings," the apostle continued, "how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. (The Review and Herald, May 25, 1911 )

Ac 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

...

Have a look at the Prayer of David, and consider a different approach:

Why do goverments in our world take offense of the Father and Christ ? (Ps 2:2)

The Father will make a decree, the Father sends His Son Jesus, you are my son, today daily you are born.(Ps 2: 7)

Serve the Father with respect, and rejoice with fearful-flow, kiss the SEED, lest my Son breath hard from the nose and ye perish on your road, when His nose is kindled a little. Blessed are all the sons and daughters who trust in My Son Jesus. (Psalms 2:11,12)

Every day we are born again in Jesus, when we sow His SEED, His words-personified in our grainy heart, we receive a fearful-flow with joy, we walk daily in His character.

Not only are we dying daily, from our first account of Adam's missing with our fallen flesh, and spoiled readings from our DNA designed by our Designer, but spiritually "self" must die daily, and as we are born daily, our character grows as a seedling grows more and more in Jesus.

Just like the food we eat, food is made from plants that are born in time, fruit in time and die so we can eat their fruit. In a simile process, we sow Seeds of Jesus in our minds in time, so they fruit in time, and so others around us enjoy those fruits in time.

But in order to become a little garden of Eden on earth, our plants have to be growing all the time, and harvested by others, who see fruits they love to eat and associate God's glory with.

Thus love is born daily, sown daily, provided and responded to daily, in a circuit of community sharing.

Theme 3: Figures of salvation

There are many figures, or poetry pictures explaining the science of salvation, and how it works. Ellen White uses some that mankind in a masculine world are comfortable with:

Ellen:p 20, The mystic ladder of his dream represented Jesus, the only medium of communication between God and man.

This is the same figure to which Christ referred in His conversation with Nathanael, when He said, "Ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man." John 1:51. In the apostasy, man alienated himself from God; earth was cut off from heaven. Across the gulf that lay between, there could be no communion. But through Christ, earth is again linked with heaven.

Jesus is the only medium between Elohiym and mankind, the movement of energy from Jesus travels through different media, hence the Holy Spirit functions as media within the medium communication of Jesus. This is why the Holy Spirit functions as an agency and as an administrator of the overall medium process.

Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

In this example, Jesus states the medium of communication is Himself, but this movement of salvation is carried or administrated by the Holy Spirit, just as wind is a simile of power carried in the air.

Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Some poetry figures are difficult to understand, especially how can mankind enter the womb a second time to be born again?

In simple poetry figures, Jesus explains:-

Yashua 2:20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD. (KJV)

Can't see how the Science of Salvation working in this fuzzy translation?

Jesus 2:20: I am engaged to marry you, when you support me, you shall be intimate with YHWH. (Ancient Hebrew)

Get the idea now? The Scriptures say Jesus marries us intimately as we support His words, His powers flow in us, as functionally as intimacy does.

This poetry figure is telling us how the fleshy nature of our Baal Masters Powers of Self are removed, when we support Jesus words-personified in our mind, instead of using our powers of self.

This is the figure of communication Ellen White is speaking about. She is saying it is different ways, using different words, so masculine minds can comprehend. Ellen White writes of the "science of salvation in English, while Yashua writes of the "science of salvation" in Hebrew; but if we look behind the English, back to the Hebrew, we find similar messages.

Theme 4: ..exaltation..

Ellen:p 21, The heart of God .. has poured out to us all heaven in one gift (His Son).

Oh, let us contemplate the amazing sacrifice that has been made for us!

Shall we not regard the mercy of God? What more could He do?

Yashua 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth;..

Scripture is full of poetry, that we miss. Ellen White writes things more plainly, in English; whereas the Scripture is hidden in its poetry.

"Earth" is a simile of the true followers mind, as well as a place where physical food grows. It is also a simile of the place where spiritual food from Jesus as the "man, or manna" supports us, helping us grow. That is why we have to sow His Seeds unto Jesus in the earth of our mind.

Difficult to fathom? For more see:

(1) Study of bar or grain

(2) Our grainy heart

(3) Kiss the Son "Grain"

So ends the presentation of passages, concerning our NEED for JESUS, from the Books Steps to Christ, written by Ellen White and Jesus.

How do we respond to this NEED? That is the hardest question to answer for all humans.

Ge 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

Where are you, O sinner?

Do you understand you have fallen?

Proud pious people do not know they are fallen, nor do they hear GOD speaking to them via their conscience.

There are two people groups that need the read the Scriptures:

Isa 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

All man-made attempts to present the gospel is like vomit, unclean places where God's glory cannot shine forth very well.

9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

Knowledge comes first to babes beginning on milk, taught by mothers from the breasts. Does Scripture have a simile process for proud pious people beginning in such a way, in their walk towards Jesus?

Yes, wisdom is portrayed as a poetry picture of a woman, the Holy Spirit is personified as wisdom, the flow of Jesus or the Father words, through the personal actions of the Holy Spirit functioning with beginners as a "mother" does.

For more see:-

(1) Holy Spirit as the Shadday.

(3) mother as responders

(5) heavenly parents?

(6) Jesus as a 'Mother' as femaleness love

(7) Jesus functions as a 'mother'

And finally a thorough study:-

(9) Holy Spirit expresses femaleness-love

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Notice Scripture is to be studied, line upon line, here a little, there a little, reading each Hebrew phrase and its meaning in child-like doses. This is the same way "milk" as food enters a beginner growing up, the milky food is simple and easy to digest.

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Here is a prophecy written in Scripture, for those who want to know how the Bible says the Bible must be studied, for those who have a different language on their tongue: They too need a refreshing.

Paul uses this Scripture in the New Testament:-

1Co 14:21 In the law (torah) "Teachings" it is written, With men of other tongues(Hebrew: lashown "Greek: glossa or heterglossos") "tongues" and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

Paul quotes this prophecy from How Scripture is read, for those who also need to read Scripture in another tongue or language.

Mr 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues (Greek glossa) ;

The New Testament is full of this theme, speaking in new languages, and even using the term "translate" over a dozen times.

Does this mean the New Testament was purposefully written in Greek as a brand new gospel? No, the Scripture was written in the Old Testament in Hebrew, and prophesied to be translated into new language for a refreshing for other people. In the New Testament we find evidence of the words originally written in Hebrew and later translated into Greek, just as Scripture says it would.

Ac 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues (Greek glossa) , as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The same Holy Spirit that helps beginners read Scripture on milk, does so for those in another tongue or language, the Holy Spirit is our tutor to use the teachings as a school master to help us know fully Jesus. The teachings serve a vital purpose, to supply us with words-personifed, with Jesus packaged as prayer promises, ready for us to sow in our grainy hearts, so we can walk in His power, and fully and maturally experience Jesus in person.

Following the teachings using Baal master powers of self, does not offer salvation. Only foolish pious people do this, known as works of the teachings. This is not how the science of salvation works, when we support Jesus words in the teachings, we walk in His power, not our own human power. Baal master powers of self must die, the tongue must speak Jesus words, not our words. Those of us who speak another tongue have the difficulty to learning to speak the language of heaven, in Hebrew, the tongue GOD first gave to man and wrote on scrolls.

13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

We read Scripture line upon line, in order to be broken and brought back to Jesus and His words-personified. In which tongue? In Hebrew of course. Even modern Jews have to learn Ancient Hebrew just as much as we in other tongue such as English have to. Modern Jewish tongue is more Greek than it is Ancient Hebrew. We all have the need to hear God speak to us through the eyes of His tongue, in a language He actually wrote in scrolls, not listen to men translating the words as they think it should be sounded.

14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people whi ch is in Jerusalem.

The Jews were zealous of their teachings, and refused to speak other tongues, let alone allow the Scriptures in Hebrew to be translated into other tongues.

Jas 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue (Greek: glossa), but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.(KJV)

Notice what James says about our tongue, and keeping our tongue controlled.

Ex 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue (Hebrew lashown).

What Moses says about his tongue.

Job 6:30 speaks of wickedness in his tongue..

Job 20:12 speaks of dysfunction in his mouth, under his tongue..

This Hebrew word "lashown", Strong's 3956, meaning "tongue"; has the pictograph meaning "The Authority pressed securely over the nations". There is authority in words spoken, especially languages people are familar with.

Prayer 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil (ra) "dysfunction,

A Prayer Promise one can sow to ask Jesus to control our talking using "Baal master powers of self" rather than talking using Jesus' powers that edify and help others.

Prayer 39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. (KJV)

KJV translates this whole Prayer Promise correctly, use this to help us bridle our Baal master powers of self when we babble often in the presence of others, and thus are missing Jesus' powers of grace.

Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

So if the tongue the Bible was originally written in speaks to other nations in a different tongue so they can be refreshed, this is telling you that the original tongue is the most primary source of God's words that was refined in the fire seven times. And when we study the Hebrew tongue, we must study the tongue as line upon line, here a little and there a little, meaning in child like doses, looking up all the lines across the Bible that deal with this theme, or word. We do NOT use human dictionaries, or human traditions, or human bias to read God's ways. Why we even come across humans who re-arrange Hebrew words to suit a better translation, spoiling what God wanted to say.

So the first step in coming to Jesus, is to admit our great need of Jesus, thus removing our pride, we become humbled before Jesus, and have a desire to hold His hand.

Pious proud people do not desire Jesus, they are rich already and need nothing.

So the most difficult thing in all the Science of Salvation is to admit we need rescuing from our missing. We are fallen. Every time we open our mouths and talk, we speak missing God's power. We do our own thing in our own human powers, using our own human words on our tongue. If the heart is not empowered by Jesus, than the heart is full of nothing, and Baal masters your home.

The Scriptures says alot about our heart. The heart is a simile of the mind, and a simile of our emotions.

Notice what happens if we swap the letters around, we get the opposite in meaning.

lab bal
Jesus power Human power

Here we see the TWO words about Christianity, that are very powerful; and the kind way GOD describes them both.

For more see Our Heart

So our tongue must speak Jesus words to others, not speak our human words which meaning nothing to God.

People swear and slander because their tongues have no power. Words that flow from Jesus have wonderful powers embedded in them, Prayer Promises packaged with Jesus Personified, ready to edify and make our world a place of His beauty. Shalom
