Q17: Prove root words and child words.. Consider this Hebrew word with a root word meaning to be "firm". Other child root Hebrew words should have similar meanings... All these examples of words have very similar meanings, to be firm. "The flowing seeing head" Na 3:5 Behold,...and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.. The idea of "eye candy", looking at nakedness.. "The seeing head..the seeing head.." Jer 17:6 For he shall be like the naked in the desert.. The idea of being nude, totally destitute. "The flowing seeing head flows" .. 2Ch 28:15 .. and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them,.. The idea of a parade of nakedness, using many people flowing past... "Seeing head secured. Seeing head".. Jer 48:6 Flee, save your lives, and be like the naked tree. Some sort of nakedness fixed or secured by something. "Seeing head secure flows" .. Ge 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. The idea of having no clothes on, nude. In conclusion, there seems reading the pictograph meanings of words helps us to see the words related to other words, ( root words and child words) and thus describe the origins of similar meanings of words. Thus one Hebrew concept such as "firm" can have many different applications in English, such as "Faith", "Skilled" "Dependable" "Trustworthy" "Amen" and "Faithful". Update on this webpage January 2019. The Author chooses not to correct older concepts of "Faith" so readers can see one is judged by the light we receive. The concept of being "firm" with the idea of "faith" is OK, but this is not really a "verb", nor a "concrete action" a person can do. The Author all those years ago is trusting another human for meaning, such as Jeff Benner in his dictionary, rather than studying the meaning of "Faith" from investigating all the Scripture contexts. Such a study has now been done, and the Author comes up with a better mean ing of "Faith", as "support". See the Bible based study of faith. In contrast many Hebrew words have a single English meaning, such as "naked" despite having lots of other child words related to the root word. The pictographs help to provide clues as to the reasons for meanings of words and their apparent differences in meaning. Shalom Next we look at pictograph theory in contrasting words... |
