(598) Ga 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit (ruwach) , ye are not under the law .
But if ye be led of the spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) , ye are not under the torah teachings.
It seems here at casual reading Paul is making the torah teachings of salvation redundant as long as you have the Holy Spirit inside you unto salvation.
Consider this : Did Adam know torah teachings of salvation ? Yes, because He offered a sacrifice.
Did Abel and Cain know torah teachings of salvation ? Yes
How much of the torah teachings did they know ? Enough to know the offering order of offerings is important. The order is a burnt offering, later a fellowship offering. But Cain chose to ignore the burnt offering because He only tilled ground and had to ask his brother for a lamb. His pride would not ask.
Did Noah know torah teachings of salvation ?
How much of the torah teachings did he know ?
Enough to understand the clean and unclean animals that went into the ark. And the sacrifice torah rules unto salvation.
Ge 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
Ge 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Notice enough is written of these men that they knew of the torah teachings of salvation, they did not have to write it down, it was written in their minds.
Paul writes if ye are led by the Holy Spirit ye are not UNDER (a slave to) the torah salvation system teachings. How does a person become a slave to torah?
When our flesh (with its character) does sinning.
Once you have the Holy Spirit living in you, your sinning never happens again. So you live in perfect harmony to all laws of GOD, but you no longer need the torah rules for sin-offering, since your character development remains sinless, saved by grace and complete in GOD. This is an amazing condition, not one anybody is able to know, for the closer you come to Jesus, the bigger a sinner you appear in His eyes and the more mournful, meek and humble you become. If you were no longer sinning, you would be the last person to know about your state.
1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin-offering; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
So Paul writes correctly, if you are saved completely in Jesus living by the Holy Spirit, you are not under the torah teachings for sin-offering (often written as the Law).
