(501) Ac 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews , exorcists , took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits (ruwach) the name of the Lord Jesus , saying , We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth .
..which had evil spirits (administrated by the Holy Spirit) the name
(502) Ac 19:15 And the evil spirit (ruwach) answered and said , Jesus I know , and Paul I know ; but who are ye ?
And the evil spirit (administrated by the Holy Spirit) answered
(503) Ac 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit (ruwach) was leaped on them , and overcame them , and prevailed against them , so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded .
And the man in whom the evil spirit (administrated by the Holy Spirit) was leaped on them..
(504) Ac 19:21 After these things were ended , Paul purposed in the spirit (ruwach) , when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia , to go to Jerusalem , saying , After I have been there , I must also see Rome .
After these things were ended , Paul purposed in the spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit), when he
(505) Ac 20:22 And now , behold , I go bound in the spirit (ruwach) unto Jerusalem , not knowing the things that shall befall me there :
And now , behold , I go bound in the spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) unto Jerusalem
(506) Ac 20:23 Save that the Holy Ghost (ruwach) witnesseth in every city , saying that bonds and afflictions abide me .
Save that the Holy Ghost (ruwach) witnesseth
(507) Ac 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves , and to all the flock , over the which the Holy Ghost (ruwach) hath made you overseers , to feed the church of God , which he hath purchased with his own blood .
.. over the which the Holy Ghost (ruwach) hath made
(508) Ac 21:4 And finding disciples , we tarried there seven days : who said to Paul through the Spirit (ruwach) , that he should not go up to Jerusalem .
.. who said to Paul through the Holy Spirit (ruwach) , that he should not go to Jersaleum..
This is intresting. Paul could listen to the Holy Spirit, yet here was a godly person hearing the Holy Spirit speak to him, telling Paul not go to Jersulem.
What is going on here ? Does the Holy Spirit battle with the Holy Spirit administration of our character development? The answer sometimes seems to be yes. Consider this verse...
Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (KJV) (and translated reads)
Ro 8:16 The Holy Spirit itself beareth witness with our Holy Spirit character development, that we are the children of God: (KJV)
.. Did Paul have some stubbornness in wanting to go but unfraid of death?
Or was the holy person speaking from pride ?
I would like to think Paul was stubborn, and while stubbornness is not a sin as such, it shows how the Holy Spirit, who develops character in us all, carries the risk of where that character might lead..God knows the end before it begins, yet it is an interesting verse to read and ponder...May God bless our faith and trust in Him, as we listen and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit in our conscience.
(509) Ac 21:11 And when he was come unto us , he took Paul's girdle , and bound his own hands and feet , and said , Thus saith the Holy Ghost (ruwach) , So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle , and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles .
And bound his own hands and feet , and said , Thus saith the Holy Ghost (ruwach) , So shall
(510) Ac 23:8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection , neither angel , nor spirit (ruwach) : but the Pharisees confess both .
Sadducees say that there is no resurrection , neither angel , nor spirit (administrated by the Holy Spirit), but the
How can we have believers with no faith in the Holy Spirit ? Incredulous blind people!
