war in heaven

Q7:Was there really war in heaven?

Re 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Re 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Imagine God and Satan at war!!!

Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil; he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Notice Michael, is the archangel. Notice also Michael is a poetry parallel simile for Yahweh, the "LORD" when written in Hebrew.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Notice Jesus is called the archangel, also a simile of Yahweh, and the one who with His angels, was at war with Satan and his angels in heaven. Why was Satan jealous of Jesus Christ, and what kind of war was this ?

Perhaps one reason for the jealousy of Lucifer, was because he was a chief angel, and thus like Jesus who was the archangel (chief of angels), yet Jesus was a Creator, while Lucifer was a creation. The Father would counsel with His Son about creating other worlds, but Lucifer would not receive such confiding.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:

Notice what kind of war this was...

Mt 10:34 Think not that I (Jesus-Yahweh) am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Jas 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Ps 46:9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The LORD of armies (hosts) is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Ex 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

The war was real enough, but it is about words fighting over your soul. We are at war with the Father's Ten Commandments because such standards of love are enemies to self, selfishness and sinning.
