Skilled workers

( 11 ) Ex 36:4 And all the wise men "chakam", that wrought all the work of the sanctuary , came every man from his work which they made ;

.. wise men ..

Wise does not mean as we mean in English, someone able to make good moral decision based on experience. Here in the Ancient Hebrew the word means a broader meaning...anyone of skilled trade is wise..

In this case skilled tradesmen..wood workers metal workers, and skilled cabinet makers..

( 12 ) Ex 36:8 � And every wise "chakam" hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen , and blue , and purple , and scarlet : with cherubims of cunning work made he them.

( 13 ) De 1:13 Take you wise "chakam" men , and understanding , and known among your tribes , and I will make them rulers over you. {Take: Heb. Give}

.. chief of your tribes wise .. The word also means those Government officals who are wise and good administrators..

( 15 ) De 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations , which shall hear all these statutes , and say , Surely this great nation is a wise "chakam" and understanding people .

.. Surely this great nation is a wise ..

( 16 ) De 16:19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment ; thou shalt not respect persons , neither take a gift : for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise "chakam", and pervert the words of the righteous . {words: or, matters}
