( 161 ) 2Ki 17:22 For the children of Israel walked in all the sins "chatta'ah" of Jeroboam which he did ; they departed not from them;
.. walked in all the sin-offering of Jeroboam ..
( 162 ) 2Ki 21:16 Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much , till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another ; beside his sin "chatta'ah" wherewith he made Judah to sin , in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD .
.. one end to another beside his sin-offering ..
( 163 ) 2Ki 21:17 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh , and all that he did , and his sin "chatta'ah" that he sinned , are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah ?
.. and all that he did and his sin-offering ..
( 164 ) 2Ki 24:3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah , to remove them out of his sight , for the sins "chatta'ah" of Manasseh , according to all that he did ;
.. out of his sight for the sin-offering of Manasseh ..
( 165 ) 2Ch 6:25 Then hear thou from the heavens , and forgive the sin "chatta'ah" of thy people Israel , and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers .
.. and forgive the sin-offering of thy people Israel ..
( 166 ) 2Ch 6:26 When the heaven is shut up , and there is no rain , because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place , and confess thy name , and turn from their sin "chatta'ah", when thou dost afflict them;
.. name and turn from their sin-offering ..
( 167 ) 2Ch 6:27 Then hear thou from heaven , and forgive the sin "chatta'ah" of thy servants , and of thy people Israel , when thou hast taught them the good way , wherein they should walk ; and send rain upon thy land , which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance .
.. heaven and forgive the sin-offering ..
( 168 ) 2Ch 7:14 If my people , which are called by my name , shall humble themselves, and pray , and seek my face , and turn from their wicked ways ; then will I hear from heaven , and will forgive their sin "chatta'ah", and will heal their land .
.. and will forgive their sin-offering ..
( 169 ) 2Ch 28:13 And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins "chatta'ah" and to our trespass : for our trespass is great , and there is fierce wrath against Israel .
.. intend to add more to our sin-offering ..
How can one add more sinning to his experience and thus add more to a
sin-offering ? Is the sinner allowed to keep making for error and thus make
a larger sin-offering ? The New Testament has something to say about this
error of belief....
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin-offering.
The sin-offering salvation system has limits if the sinner keeps on wilful
sinning. The sinner was to embrace the power of GOD and thus stop sinning
altogether. Such evidence is the miracle of the sin-offering working in the
sinner's life. If the sinning does not stop, the sinner has not embraced the
power of the GOD and thus the sin-offering failed. Why did the sin-offering
fail ? Through unbelief. Notice Paul's statement on Hebrew people who
took up Baal sin-offerings instead....
Ro 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
The did not believe in the power that would germinate in them...
They did not hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit in them.
( 170 ) 2Ch 29:21 And they brought seven bullocks , and seven rams , and seven lambs , and seven he goats , for a sin offering "chatta'ah" for the kingdom , and for the sanctuary , and for Judah . And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD .
.. goats for a sin-offering ..
