Notice we can see sinning as missing the flow of good things
in a relationship to Jesus. Nathan says David will not die. This could refer
to his literal death as well as the literal death of the flow of good things from
Jesus in their relationship to each other. Hence David remained blessed by
Jesus and connected to Him despite the sinning, but the relationship
restoration required a true repentance.
