What a STRANGE statement in the Bible !!!
Arrh...a poor translation of words....
The problem is with "chataah" which means "sin-offering"
Walking the correct path rejoices a nation, as a sin-offering is kindess to any people.
A sin-offering is indeed kindness if given in the right way.
Notice other context of this word, given in a negative way....
Ge 18:20 And the LORD "Y@hovah" said "'amar",
Because the cry "za`aq" of Sodom "C@dom" and Gomorrah
"`Amorah" is great "rab", and because their
sin "chatta'ah" is very "m@`od" grievous "kabad";
Notice the sin-offering is very bad.
Why is Sodom's sin-offering so bad ? God loves the wicked
more than the religious sinner-saint, because being cold
they are wicked and cold. The worst person is the religious
person who claims to be saved by God as so under the religion
of human made religion, the sin-offering to GOD to save them
comes forth day after day, in Sodom's case probably as a human
sacrifice...now can you see why God destroyed Sodom ?
It wasn't because they were sexually deviot, though that is bad.
It was because they were claiming salvation through Satanic
means and perverting the salvation system of GOD.
Hence you can find "chataah" used in a negative sense,
meaning a "sin-offering" not to GOD, but to Satan, pretending
to save humans like Jesus who would save humans from sin.
( 206 ) Pr 16:6 � By mercy "checed" and truth iniquity is purged : and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil .
