Notice the King James often translates the "outside protective door"
as "mercy" which is really a simile of kindness.
In English we associate mercy as undeserved attention or merit,
which is similar to kindness but misleading. The word "checed"
in Ancient Hebrew is the "outside protection swings like a door"
This is a picture of GOD outside of your soul, protecting
you from robbers, Satan and proud people, ready to swing
open at any moment and give your protection and a haven of peace.
This offer is for all people, good and bad alike, GOD loves
all people and is always outside ready to protect you with His swinging
doors of grace. You need only ask in humility. Shalom
