God does not like the high and lofty..
( 11 ) Job 41:34 He beholdeth all high "gaboahh" things: he is a king over all the children of pride .
.. high ..
( 12 ) Ps 104:18 The high "gaboahh" hills are a refuge for the wild goats ; and the rocks for the conies .
.. high hills ..
( 13 ) Ps 138:6 Though the LORD be high , yet hath he respect unto the lowly : but the proud "gaboahh" he knoweth afar off .
.. unto the lowly but the high ..
Jesus has respect for the lowly, which is contrast opposite to the high.
Thus the Hebrew word "shaphael" is "low" and
the Hebrew word "gaboahh" is "high".
( 14 ) Ec 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor , and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province , marvel not at the matter : for he that is higher "gaboahh" than the highest "gaboahh" regardeth ; and there be higher "gaboahh" than they . {at the... Heb. at the will, or, purpose}
.. .. .. at the matter for he that is high ..for he that is higher than the high ..regardeth and there be high ..
( 15 ) Ec 12:5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high "gaboahh", and fears shall be in the way , and the almond tree shall flourish , and the grasshopper shall be a burden , and desire shall fail : because man goeth to his long home , and the mourners go about the streets :
.. shall be afraid of that which is high ..
( 16 ) Isa 2:15 And upon every high "gaboahh" tower , and upon every fenced wall ,
.. high tower..
( 17 ) Isa 5:15 And the mean man shall be brought down , and the mighty man shall be humbled , and the eyes of the lofty "gaboahh" shall be humbled :
.. and the eyes of the high ..
Thus the Hebrew word "shaphael" is "low" and
the Hebrew word "gaboahh" is "high".
Both these words are used in this verse.
This shows the contrast opposites of meaning.
( 18 ) Isa 10:33 Behold, the Lord , the LORD of hosts , shall lop the bough with terror : and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down , and the haughty "gaboahh" shall be humbled .
.. be hewn down and the high ..
( 19 ) Isa 30:25 And there shall be upon every high "gaboahh" mountain , and upon every high hill , rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter , when the towers fall . {high hill: Heb. lifted up, etc}
.. high ..
( 20 ) Isa 40:9  O Zion , that bringest good tidings , get thee up into the high "gaboahh" mountain ; O Jerusalem , that bringest good tidings , lift up thy voice with strength ; lift it up , be not afraid ; say unto the cities of Judah , Behold your God ! {O Zion...: or, O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion} {O Jerusalem...: or, O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem}
.. get thee up into the high ..
