What an interesting statement, the uncircumcised in heart !!!!
Circumcision was a private matter for males to remove the flesh
of the penis. It was a painful process done at a certain age, for at
other ages, certain death or infections could result. The process
involved cutting, bleeding, loss of blood and all these things had
literal symbolic meaning.
The circumcision of the heart would require the death of the
victim, to cut and remove the membranes of the heart, the flood
of water and blood from a heart broken, would indeed be a
painful process.
During sexual intercourse, a marriage is consummated by
the penis tearing the hymen and breaking into the chamber's
heart of his women, with blood flow as a result. All these
things have symbolic literal meaning for a marriage involved
the covenant of blood, and the cutting of flesh.
In a painful way Jesus undertook the covenant of marriage
to humans in the flesh as a sin-offering. Jesus did this to
remove the old blood of sinning and replace it with His
own blood of divinity so that partakers of His blood could
be granted eternal life through His gracious act on their behalf.
When Jesus was on the cross, a spear entered his heart and showed
the results of the circumcision of Jesus, the torn heart displaying the
water and the blood , bleeding for sacrifice the victims of guilt
requiring atonment through Him their Saviour.
Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side,
and forth with came there out blood and water.
We need to really deeply see the circumcision of Jesus and His blood
loss for out behalf. Many Jews in the NT were caught up in the human
powered circumcision unto salvation, a heart effort flowing to nothing.
Paul was not against torah for slavation, but the human powered
attempts of many Jews thinking salvation came through Baal effort of
human power. No. Such legalism is Satanism under another name.
Much of our religion in the NT is really Baal worship under different
marketing methods. Human powered legalism. Not wonder Paul talked
about this so much ! Circumcision was a literal symbol pointing
to Jesus, and we are saved by the circumcision of His hea rt for us.
May be be filled with attitude of gratitude for his covenant of blood
over us. Shalom
( 430 ) Ac 7:54 When they heard these things , they were cut to the heart "leb" , and they gnashed on him with their teeth .
.. things they were cut to the heart, mind ..
Salvation must cut us ot the heart also. This is a minor circumcision
that changes our attitudes of be willing to receive the SEED of
Jesus sown in the heart. The human embryo is a SEED and it falls
into the rich blood like chamber of the women's womb, ready to
germinate into a baby of new life and character...
The SEED of Jesus is similar to humans receiving the SEED of
His salvation. It must fall into the human human onto blood, so that
the life germinating princple can being its task of growing in the mind.
