Consider the heart of Job..
( 71 ) Jg 16:25 And it came to pass, when their hearts "leb" were merry , that they said , Call for Samson , that he may make us sport . And they called for Samson out of the prison house ; and he made them sport : and they set him between the pillars . {them: Heb. before them}
.. heart, mind ..
( 72 ) Jg 18:20 And the priest's heart "leb" was glad , and he took the ephod , and the teraphim , and the graven image , and went in the midst of the people .
.. heart, mind ..
( 73 ) Jg 19:3 And her husband arose , and went after her, to speak friendly "leb" unto her, and to bring her again , having his servant with him, and a couple of asses : and she brought him into her father's house : and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him. {friendly...: Heb. to her heart}
.. after her, to speak heart, mind ..
( 74 ) Jg 19:5 And it came to pass on the fourth day , when they arose early in the morning , that he rose up to depart : and the damsel's father said unto his son in law , Comfort thine heart "leb" with a morsel of bread , and afterward go your way . {Comfort: Heb. Strengthen}
.. his son in law Comfort thine heart, mind ..
( 75 ) Jg 19:6 And they sat down , and did eat and drink both of them together : for the damsel's father had said unto the man , Be content , I pray thee, and tarry all night , and let thine heart "leb" be merry .
.. thee, and tarry all night and let thine heart, mind ..
( 76 ) Jg 19:22 Now as they were making their hearts "leb" merry , behold, the men of the city , certain sons of Belial , beset the house round about , and beat at the door , and spake to the master of the house , the old man , saying , Bring forth the man that came into thine house , that we may know him.
.. heart, mind ..
( 77 ) Ru 2:13 Then she said , Let me find favour in thy sight , my lord ; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly "leb" unto thine handmaid , though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens . {Let me...: or, I find} {friendly: Heb. to the heart}
.. and for that thou hast spoken heart, mind ..
( 78 ) Ru 3:7 And when Boaz had eaten and drunk , and his heart "leb" was merry , he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn : and she came softly , and uncovered his feet , and laid her down .
.. eaten and drunk and his heart, mind ..
Notice the way the girls set up Boaz to redeem Ruth...they wait until
his heart is merry To uncover his feet, is a reference that Ruth
slept near the nakedness Boaz, to arouse his feelings of
redemption for her. To Western minds we may consider
this act of one who is slutful, but it was an act of exposing
one's innocency to another for redemption. When Boaz awoke
he was startled, and sensed his responsibility to marry the girl,
but had to do things in customary order.
( 79 ) Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan , Hast thou considered "leb" my servant Job , that there is none like him in the earth , a perfect and an upright man , one that feareth God , and escheweth evil ? {considered: Heb. set thy heart on}
.. Satan Hast thou heart of Job, mind ..
Notice the way Satan and Jesus enter into the courts of heaven with
other unfallen beings before them, and Jesus asks Satan have you
considered the heart of my servant Job ?
Satan is misguided and believes the heart (a relationship to Jesus)
is connected purely to material blessings. Jesus knows Job so well
and see this false claim.
Than Jesus asks Satan again despite removing Job's material
blessing, He still has a heart for Jesus, the relationship is unchanged
....Satan feelings is hurt and says, touch the soul and you will change
the relationship to you. But Jesus knows Job, and Job knows Jesus,
and so Satan is allow to touch the material body of Job, and still
the relationship continues....
This story tells us that material blessings, is not the rewards
of relationship to GOD, even though they may come your way.
The real love of Jesus is the relationship to Him, the still small
voice of the conscience, that talks to your soul, and the feelings
of heart towards that voice you love and adore.
( 80 ) Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan , Hast thou considered "leb" my servant Job , that there is none like him in the earth , a perfect and an upright man , one that feareth God , and escheweth evil ? and still he holdeth fast his integrity , although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause . {to destroy...: Heb. to swallow him up}
.. Satan Hast thou heart, mind ..
