Lions take down their prey by clinging to them strongly...so is this a simile picture of Christians clinging tightly to Jesus, never letting go..
( 72 ) Pr 28:25 � He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife : but he that putteth his trust "batach" in the LORD shall be made fat .

Cling to one's own heart, refers to the human power was cling to,
as if such human power is an effort that flows to something...
God sees our human heart effort as a flow to nothing. See studies on this.
