Jesus is making a strong point that doing redemptive work on Sabbath was OK.
The Ceasing Day was not meant to be a ceasing of all activities, but only
business activities. Sabbath is meant to be a family day sharing the fruits
of the Holy Spirit with others. Sabbath is meant to be a day for redeeming others.
( 189 ) Lu 14:1 � And it came to pass , as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath "shabbath" day, that they watched him .
.. eat bread on the ceasing ..
( 190 ) Lu 14:3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees , saying , Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day "shabbath"?
Jesus is making a point that doing redemptive work on Sabbath was OK.
