Remember the ceasing ...Remember Sabbath
( 71 ) Ex 16:29 See , for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath "shabbath", therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days ; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day .
.. hath given you the ceasing ..
( 72 ) Ex 20:8 Remember the sabbath "shabbath" day , to keep it holy .
.. Remember the ceasing, to guard it special ..
(in other words) .. Remember the sabbath, to guard it special ..
To remember places the concept of ceasing unto our cognitive mind...humans are designed to forget, but every week we are to remember to cease...for a whole day..in our stress filled world..regular ceasing is vital and important...We are to cease all we are doing and spend the time with Jesus..
( 73 ) Ex 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath "shabbath" of the LORD thy God : in it thou shalt not do any work , thou, nor thy son , nor thy daughter , thy manservant , nor thy maidservant , nor thy cattle , nor thy stranger that is within thy gates :
.. seventh day is the ceasing ..
( 74 ) Ex 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth , the sea , and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day : wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath "shabbath" day , and hallowed it.
.. the LORD blessed the ceasing ..
This verse is significant as it ties the first mention CREATION to the Sabbath commandment.
Notice the two references are different with one Hebrew word.
Ex 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and "rested" (nuwach) the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the "ceasing" (shabath) day, and hallowed it.
Ge 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he "ceased" (shabath) on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had "ceased" (shabath) from all his work which God created and made.
Notice the Hebrew word "nuwach" is used instead of "shabath"..Why is this ?

The ancient Hebrew pictograph reads "The people secure outside".
Here the idea of "rest" is a simile of "cease" which is a similar meaning
to "Sabbath". The verb and noun tenses of "cease" are similar to each other.
This is suggested by the use of the Genesis 2 verse uses in reference to the
Exodus 20 reference. This also suggests that Sabbath TIME was created by
GOD from Genesis 2.
Some churches suggest sabbath is never mentioned in Genesis, but as your can see, the verb tense of sabbath is mentioned in Genesis.
( 75 ) Ex 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel , saying , Verily my sabbaths "shabbath" ye shall keep : for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations ; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
.. saying Verily my ceasings ye shall guard: for it is a sign ..
( 76 ) Ex 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath "shabbath" therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death : for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people .
.. Ye shall guard the ceasing ..
( 77 ) Ex 31:15 Six days may work be done ; but in the seventh is the sabbath "shabbath" of rest , holy to the LORD : whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath "shabbath" day , he shall surely be put to death .
.. .. but in the seventh is the ceasing of "ceasing-saved" ..doeth any work in the ceasing day... ..
( 78 ) Ex 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath "shabbath", to observe the sabbath "shabbath" throughout their generations , for a perpetual covenant .
.. .. shall guard the ceasing .. to observe the ceasing ..
( 79 ) Ex 35:2 Six days shall work be done , but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day , a sabbath "shabbath" of rest to the LORD : whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death .
.. shall be to you an holy day a ceasing of "ceasing-saved" to the LORD ..
( 80 ) Ex 35:3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath "shabbath" day .
