( 631 ) Joh 18:23 Jesus answered him , If I have spoken evil "ra`", bear witness of the evil "ra`": but if well , why smitest thou me ?

( 634 ) Ac 23:9 And there arose a great cry : and the scribes that were of the Pharisees ' part arose , and strove , saying , We find no evil "ra`" in this man : but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him , let us not fight against God.

( 638 ) Ro 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported , and as some affirm that we say ,) Let us do evil "ra`", that good may come ? whose damnation is just .
.. we say ) Let us do bad ..
It is silly reasoning to think by doing bad you will experience good...
Like the prodigal son who experienced good but thought he was missing out
on even better experiences, wandered away from His Father's ways
to a far away horizon, looking at what his eyes lusted for...
 "bold" "strongs 6277"
Here is one Hebrew word the prodigal was doing....He was bold to wander away from his Dad...
 "hard" "strongs 7185"
Here is another Hebrew word the prodigal was doing....He was hard headed to wander away from his Dad...
You cannot make Jesus do good things to you, if you do bad things.
HOWEVER, once a person doing bad things knows they are bad things,
than they come home a better person knowing where their love comes
from, and their attitude changes. This is why the prodigal son
returns home loving his Father more than the one who never
wandered off in the first place. Sinners experience a deeper
attitude of gratitude, than do non-sinners ? Is there such a
person who has never sinned ? Well some feel they are less
sinful than others...I pity them..for all have fallen short of
the glory of GOD...Ro 3:23 Shalom
( 639 ) Ro 7:19 For the good that I would I do not : but the evil "ra`" which I would not , that I do .
.. I do not but the bad ..
The good I want to do, I can't do because bad trips me up...
Why does this happen ?
( 640 ) Ro 7:21 I find then a law , that , when I would do good , evil "ra`" is present with me .
.. I would do good bad ..
Paul is describing a problem in the Christian walk with Jesus..
When we love Jesus , we want His power flowing through us,
but when others come to tempt us, we rise in Baal power, and
do things in our own efforts, rather than allowing Jesus
words and deeds flow through us. Why do we do this ?
Paul writes the Torah of Salvation is good, but I find bad present with me ? What's the problem ?
First let us present the verses written in KJV:
Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
(KJV)
Now let's translate the Hebrew correctly into English:
Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the torah-teachings, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of the Holy Spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Since we are found sinning, the obedience found in torah-teachings is dead, so have to experience salvation in a new way, through the Holy Spirit, and not directly from the ten commandments. Now that we are sinners, any further obedience to the oldness of the letter will not save us.
7 What shall we say then? Is the torah-teachings sin-offering? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin-offering, but by the torah-teaching: for I had not known lust, except the torah-teaching had said, Thou shalt not covet.
What is the ten commandments at fault with salvation ? God forbid. No, the Laws of God are not the problem, it is missing those laws as sinners, we are the problem, found missing God's requirements.
8 But sin-offering, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the torah-offering sin-offering was dead.
9 For I was alive without the torah-teachings once: but when the commandment came, sin-offering revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin-offering, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the torah-teaching is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
The laws of salvation are holy, just and good. The problem is when I am found missing GOD, I have to come to GOD with a sin-offering for my missing, and this sin-offering is also my death. How than can I remain alive, if the sin-offering also requires my death? Only by faith in One taking my place, is there hope for my salvation, in the Grace of Jesus leaving His home of glory, to come down to my home found missing, and through His sacrifice as my sin-offering, substitute my guilt for his sinless life, and my gratitude changes my love response to Him.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin-offering, that it might appear sin-offering, working death in me by that which is good; that sin-offering by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 For we know that the torah-teaching is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin-offering.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the torah-teaching that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin-offering that dwelleth in me.
Here we see a struggle going on in the soul seeks Jesus. I want to serve Jesus according to His torah-teachings, but my sin-offering that dwelleth in me trips me at times into missing the good I should do. Our souls are carnal sold under sin-offering, and this vessel remains tugging in our members while our minds are renewed under the character of Jesus revealed by the Holy Spirit in our cognitive minds. There is a struggle in the soul between the renewed mind and the old worldly carnal mind. The renewed mind is empowered by Jesus via the Holy Spirit, while the carnal mind is empowered by the sin-offerings, the past sinning and its propensities for further missing GOD.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin-offering that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a torah-teaching, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the torah-teaching of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another torah-teaching in my members, warring against the torah-teaching of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the torah-teaching of sin-offering which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the torah-teaching of God; but with the flesh the law of sin-offering.
(KJV)
The Bible says the torah-teachings bring salvation only if one obeys it. But because we do sinning, the torah-teaching says that humans who do sinning must experience non-existence (the second death is a state of non-existence). So how does a sinner experience living when they are also found sinning? The torah-teachings has provision for sinners under the grace of Jesus Christ who offers His sin-offering for you sinning instead of you offering a sin-offering, because since Jesus never did sinning, His sin-offering is accepted by GOD, because Jesus never sinned!
If you continue to abide in Jesus, and through your faith and hope in Jesus, you are granted eternal life with Him.
