God allows Satan to afflict Job
( 251 ) Es 7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden : and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen ; for he saw that there was evil "ra`" determined against him by the king .

( 252 ) Es 8:3  And Esther spake yet again before the king , and fell down at his feet , and besought him with tears to put away the mischief "ra`" of Haman the Agagite , and his device that he had devised against the Jews . {and besought...: Heb. and she wept, and besought him}
.. with tears to put away the bad ..
( 253 ) Es 8:6 For how can I endure to see the evil "ra`" that shall come unto my people ? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred ? {endure...: Heb. be able that I may see}
.. can I endure to see the bad ..
( 254 ) Es 9:2 The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus , to lay hand on such as sought their hurt "ra`": and no man could withstand them ; for the fear of them fell upon all people .
.. on such as sought their bad ..
( 255 ) Es 9:25 But when Esther came before the king , he commanded by letters that his wicked "ra`" device , which he devised against the Jews , should return upon his own head , and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows . {when...: Heb. when she came}

( 258 ) Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan , Hast thou considered my servant Job , that there is none like him in the earth , a perfect and an upright man , one that feareth God , and escheweth evil "ra`"? and still he holdeth fast his integrity , although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause . {to destroy...: Heb. to swallow him up}
.. God and escheweth bad ..
Notice the Great Controversy is shown here between Jesus and Satan.
Job has been chosen by GOD as one whole, not doing
any bad at all. Satan answers GOD by saying He is
hedging protection about him. This is true, God
does hedge those He loves. But knowing Job's mind
Jesus allows Satan to do certain things to Job.
What was the purpose of these tribulatons?
Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God
came to present themselves before the LORD,
and Satan came also among them to present himself
before the LORD.
The purpose was other sons of God came to a meeting
regularly....
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to
present themselves before the LORD,
and Satan came also among them.
These regular meetings suggest a global conflict, not just
an earthly one.
Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled
the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore
I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I
will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the
midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty,
thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:
I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings,
that they may behold thee.
So are these kings ? Kings of other unfallen worlds.
The conflist here on earth is on a larger scale than just us
Jesus and Satan. Other unfallen beings are also looking on.
( 259 ) Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD , and smote Job with sore "ra`" boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown .
.. and smote Job with bad ..
( 260 ) Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh . What ? shall we receive good at the hand of God , and shall we not receive evil "ra`"? In all this did not Job sin with his lips .
.. God and shall we not receive bad ..
