Q41: Poetry prayers by "youth" The Author wants to encourage readers who begin as "babes" in Jesus, to be encouraged.
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Job 15:2 Should a wise man utter vain (ruwach) "Holy Spirit" knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
Pr 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Pr 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law (torah) "teachings" of thy mother:
1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
(KJV)
1Co 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
All of these Scriptures show that beginners in Jesus begin as babies, feeding a little at a time, in small baby like doses, the Scriptures that feed us, so we gradually grow stronger and stronger in Jesus.
This is done by the Holy Spirit knowledge with mother like powers from Jesus teachings. We start off as babes in Jesus. And we slowly grow up.
The Author is still a "babe" even after 40 years growing up in the Lord, readers might find this website over their head, or too deep. Remember we too were once reading paper Bibles in English, and not Hebrew.
We did not know how to study Scripture, or how to pray, or even how to witness. We hardly new anything about Jesus power of miracles. And hopefully Jesus accepts us as babes in Christ. You can even be saved as a babe in Christ.
Zec 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
So these webpages are designed to encourage readers, growing up in Jesus. We did not know about how to pray, what faith means, and how miracles of Jesus come through us.
So we will investigate writings the Author made over 40 years ago as a young lad, a babe in Jesus, for evidence of "simple child like faith". The purpose of this is to encourage readers that 20 seconds a day growing in Jesus is all you need as a babe,
a little milk here and a little milk there, in small baby doses, often throughout your day and living, until you find the need for stronger deeper drafts of Jesus in your life. This is what salvation means: Growth.
Salvation begins as a seed of Jesus, and it grows, slowly and weakly at first, and than more rapidly bringing fruits of character that support and honour your Saviour.
Notice the colour highlighted verses show the Father and Mother in heaven are similes of helping us with salvation through Jesus. The teachings of Jesus are brought to us by the Holy Spirit, until we receive the teaching of Jesus directly from His mouth speaking to you via the Holy Spirit in your conscience. Until you reach this level of meekness, we grow as babes reading the Scriptures with the Holy Spirit, until we become mature enough to hear Jesus talk to us every moment of the day.
It's exciting and glorious. God is not dead. He's alive, and talks to us!
Also we have to support Jesus by speaking His words of Promised Power in our prayers, taking His words and speaking them, expecting and thanking Jesus for the flow of His power from those words. This is what real faith means, you support Jesus and Jesus supports you.
This is not salvation by works. You can not do anything with your own Baal master powers of self, worthy of salvation. It's not about works of self. It's about supporting Jesus words, so Jesus works in you. That's the real sola Scriptoria definition of faith.
Now without further ado, let's begin the investigation, of the Author as a babe in Jesus. Is it possible to be saved as a babe in Jesus, without knowing all these things, explained in a deeper understanding of salvation?
Our Father in heaven, thank you for Jesus, the Grain we kiss,
thank you for making me a seed watered by the Holy Spirit,
may we bring forth your fruits of character in their season,
we support Jesus words. Amen
Hypothesis: Can babes be saved by Jesus?
Method: The Author will look a the poetry prayers written by the Author over 40 years ago as a babe, to see if there is any support in Jesus, as one should expect now knowing the deeper understanding of salvation through Jesus.
This is an important study, for we have to ascertain the growing process of salvation in Jesus.
Conclusion: The Author suspects a babe can experience salvation in Jesus without knowing all the deeper aspects of it. We write this conclusion here, before we even begin the study.
Discussion: The writings of Prose and Poetry prayers volume 1 of 5, compiled in 1978, over 41 years ago.
(1) Love is a tender thing,
That comes a sound.
(2) Let not your heart be troubled,
For unity binds the weary.
(3) Our hearts be bound
A mysterious silent sound.
(4) Love is many beautiful things,
The summary of life.
Written at age 19, as a "Christian babe" before being baptised in three years time.
Now the reader is welcome to read and find your own discussions. As a much older person, we also have to make sense of these child like writings too, so these are only our opinions looking back.
The function of the conscience and the still small voice, is a sound that is mysterious and quiet, and a power from the Holy Spirit expressing femaleness-love. The child did not know these things back than.
(5) Come common art,
Set in beautiful simplicity.
(6) What beauty so rare,
Fulgent flumes fills the air.
(7) I love only simple things
The depth of complex art.
When you look at Scripture as poetry pictures of Mother Nature, the overall scene is a simple beautiful unified collection of parts as one picture. But looking closer and closer we see millions of objects in details all work in harmony to make the scene what it is.
A building is made of walls, and walls are made of bricks, and bricks are made of clay particles and clay is made of atoms, and atoms are made of God like forces of energy moving in specific patterns of space; something we do not understand. Thus GOD is the Author of the bigger picture and the quantum picture, the beginning of beauty and the end of beauty.
An artist sees the details and tries to emotionally colour them one dose at a time upon the canvas until the picture merges as a whole. Thus GOD comes to us, whom we see darkly.
(12) Take one road
For there's only two.
(13) We live a pre-ordained existence,
Mapped ourselves.
Evidence this poetry prayer supports scripture:
Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; ...
Pr 16:9 A man's heart deviseth "designs" his way "road": but the LORD directeth "firms" his steps.
The concept of "mapped ourselves" is better as "designed ourselves".
(32) Two trees grow side by side
Not in each other's shadow,
But rooted at their base.
Two birds sing together,
Among the lofty branches,
As male and female,
Paired for life;
And not a love season only.
But two grows as two,
And two as two be,
And as two live two,
But one.
A life of happiness in unity,
A bondage not defined,
For God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit,
Work as three independently,
But to one theme, one goal;
But to one theme, to one love, one power,
They work as three together.
Some parts of this poetry prayer are hard to understand. Normally a person prays prayers speaking them audibly from the mind of the heart.
Here is an example of a poetry prayer, written down from the mind of the heart via the hand writing words upon paper. This may have been the same poetry prayers David wrote as Psalms in our Bibles.
And when we study David's prayers, they seem prophetic and supportive of the teachings in the Scriptures.
Notice the child life depth of understanding Scripture, the flight of happy birds, the simile of marriage, as two are one, a "life of happiniess in unity, a bondage not defined". How profound.
The birds live freely in their domain, without worry about choice, or will, or rules. Why do we have to wander from GOD? Is there really another choice? No. We live in the married elements of love working as one for us, or we don't. Shalom
If you, the reader was given the ability to read "babe like writings in Jesus" and publish for others parts you choose to publish and other parts you ignore, which one do we publish for the world to see? And which ones don't we publish? Who are we helping? Ourselves.
Life is really a book where you spend your whole life learning about yourself. Shalom
(33) .."A book is a faithful judgement of character,
Something where criticisms are respected,
But not heeded.
For do we dare to correct the Author?
Do we dare to correct a creation of Art?
For do we dare correct something that is not ours?
Let us not correct fate, chance or our lives,
But read it as does a reader,
Glancing the pages of past days,
And in a sincere careful style of thought,
Reading comes to it's glorious end.
How does this support Scripture?
Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD,..(KJV)
How many of us think of our book written in heaven, concerning the road we travelled, all the thoughts, actions and decisions carefully written in your book. It's a bit like the Author now reading over material written 40 years ago,
and wondering why we wrote that all those years ago?
My wife stumbled across my poetry prayers, and said she didn't like them. No reasons given. No details. That is a strange thing to say to a person who as a child wrote such things 40 years ago.
Why even I can't tell readers why such things were written, except that they were written as they were written.
(39) Life is a rewarding experience,
When shared.
A mother loves a child, a mother cares,
Life is a rewarding experience
When shared.
A singer sings to one only, someone who cares,
Life is a rewarding experience,
When shared.
Two couples love to experience together,
Two couples share,
Each to each other the qualities of life,
Life is a rewarding experience,
Where experience is shared.
There is a child like hint at the family love concepts of GOD as a Family of loving.
A hint that GOD too, must be highly relational.
(41) Remember also what someone says
May be taken as indicative,
But cannot be taken as true.
For what are sounds anyway?
For what are words?
Judge character, not words;
Sounds disappear as a word is sounded,
But character remains forever.
Do we judge a person,
By one fault, one bad sentence?
If a beginner is starting to
Learn on the piano,
Does the music teacher
Hear him playing only the bad,
Or does the teacher,
Listen for the good sounds?
I ask you,
How do you hear?
Think of only good thoughts,
And good sounds you'll also hear,
What someone says in conservation,
May be taken as indicative,
But cannot be taken as true.
This poetry prayer was cut down a little to save space, but it has a principle the Author finds hard to learn, dealing with mockers.
It seems we have a propensity to find fault in sounds, to listen to bad sounds, rather than good sounds.
And as my family shut me away in a room all alone, learning to play the piano, such a propensity naturally grew.
As children we grow up without the tools to know why we become the way we are, and how to correct such things, our parents also leave ourselves alone to develop ourselves, which is truly wrong.
My family parents did not do family worship, Jesus and salvation was hardly ever spoken. Though sometimes my Mother took us to the SDA church, as she was once an active member of the Church, her husband mocked her for going,
so my Mum opted for the easier way out, and left public religion alone. So dealing with mockers was never taught in our family home. My Dad followed the golden rules as he called them, but never went overboard with organized religion.
It seems only on his death bed, dying of cancer, that he spoke of my brother, Pastor Neil's God and his God. So maybe as children in adult bodies, as my Mum defines adults, we all learn to grow up in God and understand our child like ways.
Ps 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (KJV)
1Co 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
The Author is looking at Scripture for Prayer Promises to speak to Jesus for His power in our life. This is not something a child did that often. I remember over the years doing such things sometimes.
Such is a child learning to grow up in the Lord, without the deeper experience we have now with our training.
Next we consider more poetry prayer.
